I’m told former Leaf Alex Galchenyuk will be heading to Arizona Coyotes camp on a PTO. He turned down a Leafs offer, thinking he could do better.

How can you do better than a PTO?

I think what Simmonds means is that Galchenyuk thinks it will be easier to make the Coyotes.

If he can't make the Coyotes, he should retire.

Or he turned down a 1 year contract at league minimum, Leafs made other moves, don't have the money for him anymore.

Leafs offered 1 yr deal for $750,000 and he said; "No, I deserve at least $800k"

We already have Josh Ho-Sang - we don't need another guy who won't make the team.

Many people believe that Michael Bunting and Nick Ritchie fit well within the top-six. I think it’s worth trying Mikheyev beside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, though. Part of that is because I believe change is good.

There will be a difference with the Matthews line either way. However, for Mikheyev, I think it would be a breath of fresh air, which could benefit the Leafs overall.

Finally…… a smart person 👍

Mikheyev can't score, and he can't lay the body.

IMHO, he'd be a terrible fit on the Matthews line.

Agreed, but taking it a step forward, if he can't score and can't hit, are the Leafs paying him to exist?

He's really good at getting shorthanded breakaways.

That's all I got.

Gusev is also on a PTO.

I was a fan of Josh when he played minor hockey. I hope he can get his career relaunched.

100k is a lot of money tho.

I’d rather play in ARI for 100k more, actually make the team, and enjoy a more quiet life.

Playing for the Leafs would honestly suck unless they’re were winning all the time.

That depends on the person tbh, there are always people who like attention a lot, the ones who hate it, and the others who are in between

That feeling as a person can make this existence positive at times irregardless of the success, not everyone, but some
