Have we officially declared the Justin Bieber Leafs clothing line total poop yet?

What the hell were the Leafs thinking?

I get that you want to sell crap that's associated with the Biebs, but why not make it good stuff?

- Atomic Wedgie

It’s just a ploy to keep Matthews with the leafs forever. They needed to keep Matthews best friend associated with the team.

PA is fighting CBJ decision not to let what’s his name come to camp. As I recall, that wasn’t part of the agreement they had with League so they might win.

Not interested in this particular riveting HB squabble

- Canada Cup

So they say, "Hey. You can't not invite him to camp because he didn't get vaccinated!" and then they argue and argue and finally someone says, "Fine. Legally you can't do that."

If training camp hasn't ended by that time (fat chance), then the Jackets just say, "Fine. He's not invited to camp because he sucks and he's a disruptive influence on the team. If he grows up and learns how to act like an adult, he'll get invited to camp in the future." They can't do jack about that.

Willy not fully vaccinated yet. (Not legally allowed in arenas etc atm)

I was right.

That’s why he wasn’t at Sweden camp.

Apology accepted (depending on who the apologizer is)

I don’t know how quickly they could get some kind of order or if they could but the Jackets specifically tied the decision not to invite him to camp to his vaccination status which is contrary to their agreement. The PA has to step in. And no, being a baby is not grounds to be disinvited to camp.

Hmm wonder if signing a 2-way contract guarantees you entrance into the NHL camp?

MLSE requires all event personnel to be vaccinated. Players are governed by a separate agreement with the PA

PA SHMEEAY!!!

If a player goes against the grain of a team, the said team can (frank) him, and (frank) him good if they really want to. Just ask Kaepernick.

I have absolutely no knowledge on how this particular process works - but it is still my understanding that the team controls who they choose to invite. There is no rule forcing you to have players at camp just like there is no rule forcing you to have a player on your roster. If he has a one-way contract, he must be waived prior to the start of the regular season before he can be assigned off of the main roster. This year teams can only invite 36 players to camp, I think I read . . .that would mean that there are players that they are choosing not to invite. Obviously those guys won't have 1-way deals, but the point remains that the team should be allowed to choose. If Rinaldo has any grievance, the PA should be seeking to terminate his deal so he can look for employment elsewhere . . . where they don't care that's he's a baby.

So, what rules is Willie governed by? The agreement with the PA or MLSE? Will he be on the ice?

I have so many questions about the Bieber line of Leafs crap, but here's my first question:

Are the players getting paid for promoting this crap? I don't think that's allowed, as per the CBA.

That MLSE can’t enforce anything on the players so it has to be the agreement with the NHLPA that lets the leafs know what they’ll have to do

Pretty ugly stuff - was the designer high, or just have minimal artistic talent? Players can advertise on their helmets this year, not jerseys - who gets the juice?

Although to make it more complicated, Ontario and Toronto laws could prevent Willie from entering the arena.

I'm pretty sure I read that parents have to be double-vaxxed to enter Toronto arenas - but I can't remember if that's just arenas owned by the City, or a blanket rule.

Hockey-related revenues, so as per CBA, players get 50% allocated to the salary cap.

If the players are paid by Drew House then it's not really a CBA violation. If the Leafs are giving Drew House money then it's a conflict of interest violation. I would, however, imagine that Drew House is paying to use the Leafs' logo and the paying to have Leaf players promote it. There's no conflict there.

Lol. That’s the PA agreement which allows him to come to the arena (where he is) and be on the ice) where he’ll be.
