"Walden Galleria, a 1.6 million-square-foot shopping mall in Cheektowaga, N.Y., near Buffalo, N.Y., has been appraised at a value of $216 million" - Hank Balling
would be double that if they ran the rift rats out of there

Pretty pricy real estate

No way it's big enough either when you consider parking, infrastructure, etc. You would have to eminent domain the living poop out of the surrounding area, including Cheektowaga High School.

That ain't crap. The location is god damn perfect. As they say about real estate: Location, location, location.
Isn't the mall sinking? Like literally sinking?
I don't know if the land could handle the weight of a stadium - Stripes77
The mall is like 3 times the size of the Bills Stadium. Go to google maps and look. However, the Galleria is built literally right on top of Scajaquada Creek, you're right. That can be solved in numerous ways but get this:
Cheektowaga high school is right there, and if you buy up their fields and promise they can play at the stadium or in the adjacent practice facility, the problem solves itself.
But regardless, build the stadium south of the creek and put the parking North. Make a nice little scenic walkway and park around the creek. The area is actually bigger than where the current stadium is located.

The land area that the Galleria sits on is way bigger than where the stadium currently sits. At least 2 times larger land area.

But what do you know about concrete? And do you know of any experts on concrete? - BeadyEyedDouche
Well.... since you asked I am also a construction materials engineer and concrete is one of said materials. I know more on soils than concrete but know a fair amount. And yes I know many concrete experts and have call to ask them questions a good 10 times or more a year. I never really engaged with hard hat on concrete though. I didn’t see the point

Just put in like a 8 story parking garage. That would make parking and leaving a blast and those things are supper cheap too. - IndianaSabresFan
The spread isn't as large as I though, but you still have to acquire more land surrounding the area to make that work. And also convince the owner of the land that it's worth losing 4-5 years of rental revenue.
Are you sure that part of that 130 acres isn't the adjacent wooded area? Regardless, 91 acres is a hell of a lot more than what they would be working with if they built it downtown.

Provide a shuttle to and from the stadium, or a rail.
But the location of the highway makes this a no brainer for me. It's literally right there.
Also, I was not serious about my concrete question but thanks for responding.
Most interesting thing I've read about concrete recently is that they're infusing it with CO2 to reduce emissions and it actually makes the concrete way stronger apparently.

Like I said, cannibalize Cheektowaga high school's yard/fields and promise them practice facility use for their games, demolish that ridiculous hotel, cannibalize some adjacent businesses. Give them a cut of the profits for the length of lease they're giving up.
