meh...people seem to get offended when the outcome doesn't go their way...we're all well aware of what's transpired the last 10 years, but we're also not fully (or even close to being) aware of what happened behind the scenes...nor are we even close to knowing what's going on inside the head's of individual players...
save for poor, poor jack who has nothing to be happy about...supreme doucheyness - Michael Pachla
Maybe everyone shouldn’t get offended over a hockey thing on a hockey board. Or maybe no one should have a difference of opinion. Or maybe one shouldn’t assume someone is actually upset while making hockey related posts about said opinions. Personally, I’m unsure, just to stay in my own lane..
Dahlin doesn't want to sign a long term deal because the one that we would offer would be for much less than what he feels like he will be worth in 3 years.. is this not that hard to understand? - SabresFaninIndiana
Guys.... proof... 😥
Show me one quote where dahlin said this 😀
levi is not all that great...yeah, he made the pick on an incredibly poor decision, but he's been burned on multiple occasions, many times within a single game - Michael Pachla

Sorry he didn’t sign your stuff, I just get the impression that not only has he grown immensely as a player, but also as a person over the last 3 years. And how would he know the cameras were rolling on the Sabres side? Or that KA wouldn’t take the call in private. Sam seems genuine. Sorry you don’t feel he is. Much like he said he’d be open to staying, and Risto would say he’d be open to leaving. Is what it is. - SDSabre
Sorry you can't defend Sam blindly and relentlessly as a sabre anymore.
Maybe you can still jam his entire body down your throat at once? He's Just in florida now. Still a good distance from you.
Never asked for an autograph. Never wanted his autograph.
As you probably know, he wouldnt take a photo with my friends teenage daughter. At the arena shortly after he worked at his job. Arrogant and cocky...
"My girlfriend wouldnt like it"
Also , almost arrested with jack at freight world. Hammered beyond belief.
Just a few gems, from a great guy on a staged phone call.
All I’m saying was when the Sabres score and win, everyone here should be in the “happy” column. When they get scored on and lose, “bummed out” column. When these things happen, there should be a grey area for discussion about the pros and cons. Or what are we doing here? Also, some of same people saying it’s a good deal said the Tage deal was bad, or the Eakin signing was good, or the letting Kahun walk was bad. It’s almost like these discussions make the board go round. Better then the usual discussion imo.

Firstly, you know that the bolded isn’t true but ok. Calling him repeatedly a mid/to lower tierRW1 is hardly choking him down nightly. Secondly, if there was ever a blind defense of someone, it’s definitely been you of Girgs. Thirdly, 20/25 year old with money, being hammered? Never heard of it once. Fourthly, if me not living in Buffalo is a dig, I mean I think I’ll live. And finally fifthly, while I don’t like everything you say, or agree with it, as long as it’s a hockey take, I like hearing your opinion, as you can see above.

i'm with ya...talking hockey is good...like brody said, time to let the dahlin signing go
Hate the fuel the fire, but early reports are year 3 of the deal is 7.2 base salary. That means a 7.2m QO. It's the maximum allowed, after the rule change last summer (120% x 6m).
I'll always defend bridges, but KA caved on term, $, and structure here. - Lunaion
There's a maximum now? I thought that was only an example in the updated agreement.

Without looking at the exact numbers, the "maximum" is no more than a 40% difference in salary from the lowest to the highest actual salary. I may be off on the percentage but that's the concept behind it. Obviously to avoid those mega deals with 1M salaries at the end of them to drop the cap hits.
