Sadly it’s the last straw. Any country that would elect a pos of sh!t like Trudeau is not a place I want to live in. We have a very uneducated population

Yeah, two liberal ministers didn’t get re-elected, two party leaders didn’t win their ridings, and the liberals picked up seats in Alberta. Go figure. What a weird election.

Just funny/ironic that you'd make the claim that electing Trudeau is what would cause you to not live in a country, but a country that elected Trump is totally acceptable. I'd go to say that the US political system is much, much worse than the Canadian system.

Trump isn’t president. The US is a mess also but at least a drama teacher that is a national disgrace isn’t running their country

Yes, not at the moment, but he was. They elected a reality TV show business man with a massive ego and a fake "self-made" backstory who paid off women from his multiple affairs/sexual conduct/assaults who didn't even really want the job... and has unfortunately spun a good chunk of the Republican party in his image so you have a bunch of prototypes waiting in the wings. But ya know, to each their own I guess?

The Trump topic has been flogged to hell and mods are beyond tired of reminding people of it so moved onto threats of bans. Just a heads up.

The archaic FPTP system is the main reason.

Another party governing with 30 odd percent of the vote.

There are 50 MP seats for the city of Toronto alone. That’s more than Sask, Man, NB, NS, PEI, NLL, NWT, Yk, and Nunavut combined. It’s more that what BC and Alberta is allocated. Only the province of Quebec with 72 seats beats the city of Toronto.

If your party wins Toronto then you win the federal election. It’s that simple.

Petey ain't in town:

Canucks superstar Elias Pettersson returned to Vancouver this week as negotiations continued on his second contract.

In case you were tempted to read anything positive into Pettersson’s return to Vancouver or assumed that, perhaps, it was an indicator of his desire to get going with his teammates for the opening of training camp, Pettersson’s stay wasn’t a long one.

Sources in Pettersson’s camp confirmed to The Athletic on Monday evening that the Canucks centre has already departed Vancouver. He’s flown to Michigan to be with his teammate and fellow unsigned restricted free agent Quinn Hughes.

Hughes and Pettersson are both represented by Pat Brisson and J.P. Barry of Creative Artists Agency and are close friends off the ice. They will remain in Michigan together, training and preparing for this upcoming season, as they await a resolution in contract negotiations.

Tyler Motte won’t be ready for training camp.

Canucks GM Jim Benning told The Athletic : “We’ll see where he’s at here in the next 3 weeks.”

Motte had an undisclosed surgery.

No surprise

The door for Klimovich and Gadj just got a little wider. Though they’re more likely competing against Zacmac. But it’s probably Highmore and Lockwood that have the line up chance on Motte’s spot.

This sounds like an agent move to put leverage on Canucks. If no one caves on the long term price it’s the bridge too far fall back before camp ends.

I’m guessing they won’t be cut until end of camp. So pre-season games will decide it.

You might have more longer looks with other bubble players since Abby is close.
