Except that Frost wasn't getting pushed around, was winning the decided majority of his faceoffs (especially in the left circle), had four points in the two games and was involved in another 4-5 scoring chances beyond that.
York did score a PPG yesterday and was fine, although not dominant. - bmeltzer

Those rookie games always scare me a bit. Very early in the process of camp so guys are still getting their bodies in game shape. But couple that with guys looking to make an impression by landing a big hit or playing as close to the edge as possible and its a recipe for disaster. - MBFlyerfan
Man it sucks we get hit so hard by the injury bug
Serious question... What other teams have had this many injuries to first round picks and up and coming prospects?
I have no idea what the answer is but somebody in here will know it |

Morin has had more than his fair share of injuries and is once again trying to get healthy. ASF should know better than to spread an unsubstantiated rumor like that about him. He did it for the attention/clicks. Imho that makes him untrustworthy. What good is an untrustworthy reporter? - Scoob

What bothers me more is that most people on this forum don't believe Morin is an NHL defenseman, never mind a 7th defenseman. I actually think Morin is pretty good and if he actually could stay healthy and play consistently, he can be a real solid defender in the NHL. I love his attitude, grit and size, something any team, especially the Flyers need. - jd250
I'd love to see Morin stay healthy long enough to play meaningful hockey. I think he is an NHL player too |

What are the odds that is his last NHL contract - ClaudeFather
You'd think so, but being the Flyers wasted a # 2 overall pick on him, and he did next to nothing for them, he will prob go to Vegas and be instrumental piece of a Cup winning team. |

I agree with you on this. I still think if injury is indeed a false post, then he can be a very good shut down guy if he can just stay healthy and get the reps. I have to say I do disagree with your assessments on Frost. I think he just looks stronger out there….that to me was the one thing holding him back. His skill is obvious, his ability to slow the play down and see the ice is now evident. I am much more bullish on Frost then I have been in the past. - landros 2
I'm with you on frost. He looks good. He wasn't as strong the other camps as he is in this one and that was the one knock I had on him |

JD250: Bless me MJL, for I have sinned. I posted in a hockey forum that I saw Morgan Frost loose a bunch of faceoffs, when the stat sheet said otherwise. I am sorry for my sins.
MJL: For the confession of your sins, say Phillipe Meyers was unjustly traded one hundred times, followed by saying Mattias Ekholm could never help the Flyers one hundred times. - Robert's Plant
I'll just settle for him recanting that his player evaluation skills are as good as any GM

Before the injury in my opinion Allison was close to a lock to make the team. If it is a significant injury, it opens up a spot. Whether that improves Frost's chances depends on how fixated the Flyers are at playing Frost at center. - MJL
Interesting. So your stance is now changing. |

Theoretically, they could also move Brassard to a wing and play Frost at center, although I tend to think they won't do that to start the season. - bmeltzer
Bill. If he does slot into the 3 c who would you start as his wingers?
I could see g eventually but not at the start. Could see Scott and bee or brassard |

So…fake news on Morin. Since I know no one wants to read 4 or more paragraphs about why that makes me mad, I will shut up now.

Never been a fan of his. How irresponsible to post that information when he obviously did not have legitimate information. - MJL

What he may have had -- and I don't know if his source was the same as mine but I suspect it was, because I'd heard the exact same thing on Saturday he reported yesterday -- was someone credible enough for the reporter take the info higher in the org for confirmation or denial. But until you get that or the player himself confirms, it's wiser just to hold off on it for however long is necessary. It's frustrating, but it's a safeguard against putting out exaggerated or wrong info.
Ant must have felt he had sufficient confirmation even in lieu of GM/AGM on the record or player on/off record. - bmeltzer

I did want to give him another year, but I'm also kind of relieved I won't have to watch and hold my breath every time this kid gets hit. - Ftown19125
Agree. Last season every time he did and got back out there I was hoping he would flip a switch. Then…,,,nothing changed. Would’ve preferred to wait until this year but it is done now. We will see how he does with vegas. |

As far as I’ve seen Sam hasnt denied he injured his knee. All he said is that it’s not major. From what Carchidi says Sam’s going to miss the start of camp. For a guy with his injury history, that sounds pretty significant to me. |
