How bad is Allison?
- jaws1955

If Allison is out for an extended period of time I think we need to take a serious look at bringing back Harry Zolnierczyk.

Is there no real concern for Morin? That’s poor guy.

I feel so bad for the kid...likable, and he sticks up for his teammates. Flyers are once again w/o a single tough guy available when/if needed.

saw Allison landed on the side of his skate, but the angle was a bad view. Hopefully it isn’t a high ankle sprain.

Actually I would much prefer a high ankle sprain to another knee injury....as bad as that seemingly sounds.

Morin was a 'Shawn Bradley' pick from the beginning

Why would Laughton have not been sticking around previously?

I think he made a statement yesterday. He looks hungry and he definitely has learned to control the pace much better from what I've seen. He looked dynamic on the PP from the choppy video that I got to see.
If he keeps this up he may very well find a top 9 spot although I am still totally fine with him staring in the AHL for reps and minutes

What statement? Is it not expected that Frost should be dominating these rookie games?

The real test for Frost begins when training camp starts. Then games against much better competition.

If Morin has another serious knee injury, I don't think it's a big loss hockey wise but from a personal standpoint, it's devastating. He has worked so hard to get back and always kept a great attitude from all reports. Have to feel for the kid.

Frost is one of the older more experienced players out there in these rookie games. Playing against 18-19 yr olds he should stand out a bit. Wouldnt take much from these games for either team

It's actually a pretty simple statement.... He is bossing AHL so now he is ready for the big team

That's the statement. He is here and rest for more
I thought it was a pretty simple statement understand but here I am having this discussion with you....

I have to agree otherwise. It's a low level of competition. Frost should be a dominant player. If he was, he met the minimum requirement. It doesn't really mean anything.

Shawn Bradley played 832 career NBA games. Morin isn't anything close to Shawn Bradley.

So Allison is injured already? Can't make it up.

At the very least it's confirmation that he's back to 100% health.

I see your point and what you're trying to say but I think this is where he has to show that he is above the other talent and that he is ready for more. If you struggle here it would clearly be a sign that he is not but he is still playing against his peers right now
I wasn't sure what to expect from frost being out so long but so far I am very impressed.
And if Allison is hurt Frost hasn't even better chance of making the team now

Bossing AHl? Not sure what that means. So playing against rookies, some of whom haven't played pro hockey indicates he is ready for the NHL?

Good to see him "dominate", though as you said doesn't mean much in the big picture.

I think Frost is an NHL player but he has to prove it against NHL level competition.

Didn't he already make the team last season? He played well in his 20 games in 19-20, too. Hard to believe there's any doubt in the front office that he's NHL ready.

It's just a matter of health/rust and winning the battle for 3C now.
