Very difficult division and all they have done is add chara and parise?

I get they had a great yr last year and are a contender, but their offseason has not exactly been a juggernaut.

They may lack some real "high-end" offensive players, but there aren't very many teams in the league that have the depth the Islanders have from the 1st through 4th lines. Parise is a large improvement over playing Komarov every night.

I can at least buy an argument that going from Leddy --> Chara isn't the most ideal situation, but I think the team game that they play helps mitigate some of the loss of skill there. And, even though Chara isn't what he used to be, he's still almost certainly better in his own end than Leddy was.

He hired Trotz. You could have done that. Trotz could win with the Worcester Railers roster. If Lou’s the reason they’re winning then why did the team win it’s first season under their watch? They lost Tavares and added Leo and Matt Martin. How is this Lou????

How fvcking delusional are you? If you don't want to enjoy this team finally having success after decades of being a clown show, then don't. But don't think that Lou didn't have anything to do with it. He brought credibility back to this organization. In the last 3 years this team has done no worse than second round of the playoffs. If it wasn't Lou & Trotz then why didn't Snowballz take the team on deep playoff runs???
Lou brought in JGP, Greene, Parise & Palmeri. Yes, he also did bring in Leo and reassembled the 4th line with Martin. And they didn't lose Tavares, he chose to go to Toronto (which he had every right to do and quite frankly can't blame him).
Anders Lee coming back is an addition to the line up. While he has been a member of this team, his services were lost for the playoffs last year. Therefore, him coming back this season is an addition.
