There’s a little more to the definition, in my mind (& in other dictionaries), it seems that definition omits the most important part of the definition,
“an organized attempt by a group of people to defeat their government AND TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR COUNTRY, usually by violence” -Cambridge Dictionary

Calling Jan 6 an insurrection makes a great sound bite to further fan the flames and hysteria of the people listening. This was not what I would call an insurrection, this was a bunch of wackadoos gone overboard and running amuck. Do you really think this government was ever in any real danger of losing control of the country from the events of Jan 6?
It’s time to move on, there really are much bigger issues facing this country at the present time.

The only person that was killed by a weapon was Ashley Babbitt. She was unarmed. The police officer died a few days later of a stroke. Even his family said he wasn't killed. Nice try. It WASN'T an Insurrection.

1. I have no idea about Eichel but if if I had to bet I would bet no.
