Well once Sandin actually plays like Heiskanen, Hughes or Fox, I'll agree with you.

Until then, he's a young talented player who has alot to prove.

The guys you mentioned don't just have upside, they have actual results.

- Scabeh

If Sandin gets 1PP time, and I think he will, I think he’ll be up there with those boys.

Vancouver ain't that terrible imo. Probably not good enough to make the playoffs.... but not terrible.

Well assuming they sign their RFAs at least.

- Scabeh

They could maybe sneak into the playoffs but a mediocre team can sometimes do that and win a few rounds through luck. They could be that trash team that somehow makes the final even though they are doomed.

Saying that Sandin is better than Muzzin and Brodie is a pretty hot take.

But hey, I hope you're right, so I'm happy with the hot take.

- Leafs43

If I had to pick one of the 3 players to play on my team, it would be Sandin without hesitation.

It's really confusing when you say the Leafs have no good prospects one week and then turn around the next week and say that we have one of the best defensive prospects in the league.

Yeah I like Muzzin but Rielly is better imo. I anticipate a great year from Captain Morgan.
- Zezel

Rielly has the most potential and upside. He just hasn’t put it all together yet.

I hope it happens soon, he's got 2 years before he's hockey old

Left side was weak last season too, they replaced Hyman and Thornton with Bunting and Ritchie

So, nothing has changed.
I would like to see Robertson get a chance, maybe he can beat out Mikheyev? I like Engvall, because he can play C.

- PatC80

Agree, two of the Leafs top prospects are at LW, but unfortunately are a year or two away IMO. Can't see how Robertson isn't given every opportunity to make this team. Not hard to imagine a RW moved to the left side on this team. Looking forward to Ritchie on the top line, he hasn't been given great opportunties to date. Scored 15 goals on Bruins third line which is a checking line. Has a very good shot.

He actually did in 2018-19 when he scored 72pts. Then he met Tessa.

Vancouver could surprise a few teams.

Pettersson, Miller, Boeser, Horvat, Hughes, OEL, Garland, Demko.. They have a lot of good pieces in place

- PatC80

It might be tough as Pettersson and Hughes haven't signed a deal yet.
If they hold out. They most likely will have a bad year as it has been shown in the past with other players.

I think Robertson should get a chance, but if Mikheyev asked for a trade and the Leafs didn't honour it, I assume that means that they want him in the top 9

Really?? Why would he do that? Has Keefe peed in his Cheerios?

Dammit. You know he’s going to put it all together this year. Then want 9-10 million a year and leave in free agency.

Flagged by accident subconsciously on purpose.

But yes, thank you for proving my point: anyone can beat the Leafs, even the very mediocre Habs

- TheMussel

Pretty sh!tty feeling being beat by a sub-500 team in the playoffs. Kinda like

Has anyone seen any announcement on what the capacity will be for the Leafs' pre-season games at the ACC?

We don’t care because we’re jealous of season ticket holders.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

I like Sandin, I think he'll be good.

Not sure he'll be at the same level as the guys we talked about earlier... at least not as soon as next season.

Because I don’t consider Sandin a prospect anymore. He should play every game this year. Robertson is 50/50. Beyond those two there’s not much.

Not sure, but looking at the blue Jays they have a 15000 limit. Looks about 30% capacity.

3rd in Norris voting two years ago, I’d say he’s done just fine.
