With Rafferty gone he should get them.

They switched out Rafferty with a younger and better 2 way defender in Keeper.

This year is an important one for him, as last season the AHL was severely watered down.

I wonder if Benning has yet figured out why no one is taking Kole Lind?

Wanted Hague at the time, but was fine with Lind, hopefully he isn't the one that got away.

I think now they have Schenn Hamonic and Poolie for a few years there is no hurry . When he is ready he will be ready. I would even hint to him be ready to spend two more years in the AHL. If he is ready before then , bonus.

Yes he did. Once he started getting involved in some scrums doing some face washing, being more gritty. His whole game seemed to follow. At least from what I saw.

I can't wave the pom-poms everyday.

Although, I have started teaching Lefty how to make pom-poms, as has been evidenced by a few of his positive comments lately.πŸ‘

I am all for developing a defenseman the right way, in the minors. Not throwing a defenseman into the league to get crushed defensively, because the team is starving for talent

Rafferty is a good player. I just think he needed a bigger strip of runway than Green was willing to give.

I hope he does well. I agree Green was quick to pull the plug on young players.

How many defensive liabilities is Green supposed to try train in the NHL, Goldobin, Jake, Brock, Quinn, Rafferty, Rathbone etc.
I am not a Green fan, but let's be a bit realistic here, the NHL is not supposed to be a development league.

I think this is essential for most D. But more so the guys that don't shy away from being physical. Hitting or taking a hit to make plays.

The offense only guys should also spend time in the minors, even if only for a 1/4 season or so.
I understand players like Makar and Heiskanen, as they are both excellent 2 way players, but others should be spending time in the minors.

Who was being developed?
Hoglander had a nice 1st season, other than that, the rover wasn't being developed, and if he was being developed, he and they failed miserably at the developing part.

Is OJ actually the odd man out? Which is weird as I think if Green game hime some good TOI and showed some confidence in him he would impress...
