Wow...that's less than I thought. Seems it's not going to be much of a problem.

i dunno. is everyone still being teste daily? what's the deal with vaxxed players who test positive? is it like last year when the whole team shuts down? or do they just have to isolate? because you're still going to have some vaxxed players testing positive.

After that they will blame Covid for shortages, when they just can't manage a healthcare system.

My girlfriend had a meeting, they are cutting operating rooms because there's a nurse shortage in other departements and there's two covid cases in the intensive care total. There's just a bunch that quit or are on sick leave. So sorry if you have a cancer, going to let the tumor grow.

each province has their own rules. Right now if I have an employee that tests positive the rest of the team doesn't have to be tested because we are all double vaxxed. So I guess not only the player would isolated.

This weekend they just closed the maternity ward in St-Hyacinthe. So if you were in labour they redirected them to Longueuil (Pierre-Boucher).

Granby has a total of 8 nurses left for their surgeries. They need 3 per operation so that's 2 rooms and you're on guard almost every 2 nights.

NFL separates the positive and tests close contacts. My guess is NHL does very similar

They are currently talking about delaying the Oct 15 date, but the problem remains the same.

We can't afford to lose anyone else. We're already past the breaking point to maintain services.

At this point I don't think pushing back the time will convince someone who is agaisnt vaccination to get vaccinated. I guess they hope some of the ones away on burnouts will comeback

NFL has a bunch among vaxxed players (although percentages are much higher for the unvaxxed as the NFL doc chided Belichick a week or so ago) so it's GOING to happen. Much like last year and the one before, it is what it is and you roll with the punches...beats no hockey

I think they hope passports and denial of access to certain things will prompt some hesitant to go. A friend's sister got hers a week ago because her school said she couldn't attend any of her kids events without it. I've said a few times big business and society will make most people get it anyway so my guess is this is them hoping the first stragglers come across the line

The alouette's coach tested postive (double vaxxed) so he's isolated but the rest of the team will play this weekend. Same thing for Dom Ducharme during the playoffs, KK and Armia last year.
