Yup Heatley came back and played 10 more seasons in the NHL. Mailloux will be shuned all his life if he stays in a market like Montreal.

When you can score 50 goals people are willing to ignore/forget a lot. It's how the world has always been just now there's more social media

I'll just say I still would'nt have drafted him. It's one thing when he's already part of the organisation but to willingly put yourself in that situation for a player that according to everybody I've heard will never be a gamechanger was kinda dumb.

For what it's worth, if they did work full time as they were supposed to, they were paid higher than the 25$/hour promised.

It just wasn't through a base salary, but through bonuses linked with you actually working your full 37.5 hours a week.

And once the next collective agreement is written, their base salary will be higher than the 25$/hour promised, retroactively.

People are just misinformed.

2021 when killing someone is more socially acceptable than sending a picture whitout consent
- Fredobbface

Also, don't know if that's true, but I read that in the police report, it says the picture mostly showed the girl's hair and part of a bra strap. What caused the problem is that Mailloux then sent her social media profile to the people he showed the picture.

I want to be clear. I still find this all unacceptable.

On the other hand, I think the guy deserves a second chance after he proves he has matured. All in due time.

I mean, if Dany Heatley could resume his hockey career after killing Dan Snyder a in a car accident that occured while speeding in a residential area....

Yeah, hopefully they don't keep him though...After seeing most of his season cancelled last year, he needs to play. Send him back to his junior team.

NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said that only 15 or fewer players will be unvaccinated by the start of the season.

Wow...that's less than I thought. Seems it's not going to be much of a problem.

I read it was 20,25$ plus bonus that brought it to 26$ for being in a redzone which was taken away so they came back at 20$ a couple of months ago

It was brought down in june. Although not back to the simple base salary.

The whole "redzone" bonus (which basically included every public/EPC CHSLD until mid-june) was 1000$ bonus if you worked full time every 4 weeks.

It was brought down to 400$.

Add to that everything else not included in the base salary (bonus for night workers, weekends, evening workers, bonus after 750 hours worked, etc....) you are still way ahead of that 20$/hour.

And, again, once everything is made official (likely late octobre) every single one of them will still have most of what I mentioned + a base salary over 25$/hour, retroactively to april 2020.

But the ministry is so shy about sharing all these details, the press and the unions would rather whine about things they already know are settled and the employees are just in the dark between all that misinformation.

And there are things we are allowed and not allowed to share too.

So yeah, lots of fun.

A friend of mine is a huge Ravens fan.

Lamar Jackson is a known anti-vaxx and it pisses him off to no end.

Now that's good management.

After that they will blame Covid for shortages, when they just can't manage a healthcare system.

My girlfriend had a meeting, they are cutting operating rooms because there's a nurse shortage in other departements and there's two covid cases in the intensive care total. There's just a bunch that quit or are on sick leave. So sorry if you have a cancer, going to let the tumor grow.
