Nice looking xbox video game team, however, this is not what the final team will look like. They will not be taking 1 dimensional scorers like Olofsson for their 4th line over defensive forwards and penalty killers. Sweden will clearly have enough offense already. Team Sweden actually held an orientation camp this summer, many of these names that will EXACTLY be on Team Sweden weren't even invited (although it's possible was just a scheduling conflict...)
Not invited were: Robin Lehner, Erik Karlsson, Viktor Arvidsson, William Nylander, Gustav Nyquist, Victor Olofsson, Rickard Rakell.
Names that were invited to the camp but apparently won't EXACLTY be on the team are: Linus Ullmark, Jonas Brodin, Matthias Ekholm, Erik Gustafsson, Mikael Backlund, Andre Burakovsky, Joel Eriksson Ek, Jesper Fast, Carl Hagelin, Patric Hornqvist, Matthias Janmark, Calle Jarnkrok, Jakob Silfverberg.
So it seems like they are definitely looking for some 2-way forwards vs this all-offense video game team that will EXACTLY be Team Sweden. |

You gotta remember who typed this up. Ek. Make clear over the years: not a journalist, loves making up crap as if its something he heard in hockey management circles, laziest mofo round these parts, is either a Canadian/American "fanboy" so he doesnt so much understand hockey as he understands how he thinks hockey should be done. So all teams will mainly be NHLer(too lazy to dig into researching for the teams hes penning articles about, which also plays on his lack of being a journalist) they should definitely only have scorers and players he values(understands how he thinks hockey should be) |
