Only 8% of ICU cases are fully vaccinated. The ICU cases are crippling hospital ability to perform other critical services. If there was a 50/50 split of vaxxed vs not, then you might have an argument on your hands, but it's not. My wife had her procedure cancelled this week as a result of this outbreak with no rescheduled date in sight.

Yes, there is a clear trend - the vaccination was not going to stop people from contracting COVID, but to mitigate the severe (ICU related) outcomes from being as prevalent, which is what is happening. As for the increase in patients who become hospitalized, yeah, it might grow, but until it approaches an index of 1 (ie. 70% of hospitalizations/ICU are from fully vaccinated people), there really isn't an argument to be made in my view of the efficacy of the vaccine.

It's like suggesting that no victim from a car accident ever passed away despite wearing a seatbelt. Of course people do, but your chances of survival are statistically proven to be better if you do.

If he's our #6, no biggie, agreed. I really hope Sutter doesn't pair him with Zadorov though... that pairing will get caved in against any team with moderate speed.

I think we might be done, 46/50 contracts. Gawdin, Froese, Mackey, Kylington & Welinski down in the AHL. Taking a shot at lines 2 & 3:
Line 2 Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman
Line3 Dubé-Zary-Monahan
The second line plays against the best lines of the other teams, it doesn't make sense to put Monahan in there he's not a 2-way player.
