Paul is a good man, through and through.

I would be in favor of Holmgren being is because he has been a Flyer his entire career, from player to President. And I agree, he is a good man that bleeds orange and black all the way through!

I have always agreed on Gagne, and I stated why several posts ago. All I am saying is Leach did some things none of these players did, both regular season and playoffs. It does not mean I am not in on Gagne or even Briere, though I am on the fence with Briere because I'm not sure he had his most successful years as a Flyer. Recchi was a great hockey player, but was he a Flyer? He played for so many teams and remember, the Flyers got so much better when they traded Recchi for LeClair and Dejarsdin. Tocchet to me just didn't play enough years with the Flyers and really accomplish enough with the Flyers to be considered.

So when you made the statement you did, you weren't implying that Gagne didn't deserve to get it when comparing him to Leach? If not then your comment didn't make any sense. Not to mention that you got the most important fact about Leach incorrect.
Where a player had his most successful years is irrelevant. All that is relevant is his impact as a Flyer. Was Recchi a Flyer? Also doesn't make any sense. He played 10 seasons as a Flyer and over 600 games. In comparison, Eric Lindros played 8 seasons and 486 games as a Flyer. Tocchet played 11 years and 621 games as a Flyer. Both Tocchet and Recchi are in the top 20 all time in games played for the franchise. LOL

The main question I have for you is do you ever actually look at the facts?

All 3 players are no brainers.

Another example of not having the facts. Holmgren finished his playing career playing for the Minnesota North Stars. Holmgren started his coaching career as an assistant under Mike Keenan and then when Keenan was fired, Holmgren was named the Flyers head coach. He was fired by the Flyers and became the Hartford Whalers head coach and GM, where he was for 4 seasons. He was then fired by Hartford and returned to the Flyers as director of pro scouting.

Again, the question I ask you is, do you ever actually look at the facts?

How many Stanley Cups did Reggie Leach win as a Flyer?

Its all minutia with you ... who cares about Holmgren's time with Hartford, he came in with Flyers, he is going out with the Flyers ... that is the point! Even Bob Clarke went to Minnesota for a while, does anyone really care or even remember that??

Leach won a cup in 75' with the Flyers, 1 more cup than Recchi or Tocchet won w/ the Flyers.

So this is how the hall of fame works now, if you play a lot games with the Flyers and/or lead the team in penalty minutes, you're in?? I mean, why have the HoF at all then if this is the criteria we are using.

Recchi and Tocchet may have played more games as a Flyer than any other team they played on, but what did they accomplish ON the Flyers?? Each player won 3 Cups, ALL with other teams!! At least Recchi holds the team record for points in a season, so that is at least something to look up to. What does Tocchet hold besides the most penalty minutes?? IMO, neither meet my bar.

It's not minutia. LOL

You made this statement

" I would be in favor of Holmgren being is because he has been a Flyer his ENTIRE CAREER, from player to President

You also posted previously telling me that I need to wake up while posting that Leach won 2 Cups!

Your reasoning both for and against players getting into the Flyers hall of fame has been repeatedly factually incorrect.

Here is a final thought for you. Someone who has been wrong on around 90% of the information you posted, from Leach to Recchi to Tocchet to Holmgren, is going to tell others to wake up, should expect pushback. If you're going to talk to people like that, be sure of the ground your standing on.

You stated that both Recchi and Tocchet didn't play enough or weren't Flyers to get into the Flyers hall of fame. You didn't have the facts. What kind of logic is it to state that when both are in the top 20 in franchise history in games played?
Who suggested that is the only criteria to consider?
It's already been explained to you why I think Tocchet deserves to get in.
