Either way neither Danault nor KK is 2C and I think Dvorak would be a 2C - habs88888
Danault and Dvorak have different skill sets. Danault is an elite shutdown and face off guy. Dvorak is average to average+ to good- lol in both categories. Dvorak was near the bottom of the NHL with 5 goals 5 on 5. The rest came from the PP. SH, 4 on 4 and ENG. I don’t know how he did 5 on 5 in prior years so it could be an outlier. But it’s something to watch. Dvorak got lots of PP time and I didn’t notice Danault on it in the SCP. Didn’t see the Habs in the regular season.

Hoping that with better wingers Dvorak will get some points 5 on 5. The Habs PP will be deadly next season with Hoffman Dvorak and Caufield along with Drouin and Toffoli but with Tatar gone I think our 5 on 5 won’t be as effective, time will tell
Semantics and being ignorant are helpful.
"when is the last time an offersheet of that size (4 1st coming back) was made?"
I don't recall the 4x1sts to Nashville for Weber, nor Carolina for Aho, going back to the respective Teams, anyone, anyone, just a hint ? - Benny Blanco
Tomas Hertl is the missing piece and in the final year of his contract but i am fine with having the kids battling for the 3rd spot (I like Poehling chances) and I honestly think that Dvorak can hit the 55 pts mark with the quality wingers he will have. He was on pace for 25G/45 pts last year without playing much with Kessel and Keller so who knows... - Habsody
DVo centering Hoffman and Anderson is a 50+ point C....I think he surprises a lot of people this season and his PP numbers will really help.
What about the player on my team, waiting.
Ya nothing to add. GIF Queen. - Benny Blanco
JFC...there is a difference between semantics and basic reading comprehension. Fido asked when an offer of that size was last made. It isn't semantics to say Weber was offered and accepted an offer sheet that would have resulted in 4 1st round picks. It's a fact. It being matched doesn't change that. The only reason you suggest it is semantics is that your ego is too fragile to accept you were wrong. Get the (frank) over it and learn that maybe if you weren't so unlikable people might not point these things out. Bye Henny

You realize that Dvorak is a finisher, right? And so are Hoffman and Anderson (though Anderson can at least carry the zone)?
If those three played together, they'd barely muster 50 goals as a line.
Dvorak has to play with Drouin; he needs a catalyst winger. He would have anti-chemistry with Hoffman. He's not much of a passer, nor is he a player that makes his line-mates better.
Dvorak actually played with better catalysts in Arizona than he will play with in Montreal unless he plays with Suzuki or Caufield, but I think those two are going to be first line fixtures. The second line will probably be Drouin, Dvorak, Anderson, and Dvorak is probably only going to get 25-45 playing with those guys in combination with Montreal's lack of breakout defensemen.
By the end of the season, if Montreal hasn't solved their void at 2C with Poehling, Dvorak will be one of those guys killing penalties and out in the last two minutes of the game protecting leads. That's basically what he's best at.
