Didn't say he owed us anything, just saying to see a 40 point player got to a 50 goal scorer stung
- braidan

Oh I know...guess my point is that game really helped me. There was a 2 or 3 year stretch in the 90's where the Habs kept making trades that left you shocked at the returns

I always forget how the Habs have such amazing wingers compared to the rest of the league. This argument totally holds water
- Takemedrunkimhome

The comparison was to Arizona's wingers not the entire league so yeah Habs wingers are much better. Still don't see what was so ridicule about my previous post but man you just told me!

I don't know poop about football so I have no clue what this means loll
- Pat1993

I'm not sure a roster/franchise has ever been in a worse place than they currently are. They're going to be so, so bad...starting Sunday...but since the games haven't started...

I see loll... well it's far from perfect but I don't feel the habs are in such a turrible position.

And yet you can point to other trades in that time frame that were much, much worse

If the Habs traded for him with the expectation that their amazing winger depth will make him significantly better, I'd expect significant disappoint. I actually apologize if my comment came across as ridicule, it wasn't meant that way but I can easily see how viewed that way, I'm just exhausted of this "better wingers" argument that just feels lazy and hopeful

Roy is the worst trade in history for me with what he did after, the return Habs got and what it did for the franchise

that was a bad trade but not nearly as bad

Sergachev was on Tampa third pair (insane but still)

Roy won another conn smythe in the process (and Sakic got the other one)

but yeah, Habs could use a guy like this right now, sure. And he is very young still

Like I said topping Roy is nearly impossible but...that trade has a loooooong time to look worse

Edit: by that trade I meant Sergachev

Fished then golfed today. Didn't drive. Picked up a massive platter of southern fried chicken this one amazing place does on weekends/holidays on the way home. If I'm awake at 8 pm I'll be shocked

Sorta...they went to a conference finals before Gomez got mentally crushed by the weight of his contract/the market...I think
