I'm... meh on Dvorak.

Not sure he moves the needle enough to help get this team in the playoffs. But neither was KK likely to do that either.

I am just frustrated with wasted #3 picks.

- Mashadar

yup, a real shame, they should've managed things differently for sure, either by not rushing KK in the NHL, or by simply going for another pick instead. the draft is a crapshoot, but you'd think at #3 you're able to grab a player that you know will perform in the big league.

shoulda woulda coulda...

yeah. i was just doing a mock to get familiar with yahoo's FF site. never used it before. and that was only a 1 QB mock. for a 2 QB league, definitely will be taking a QB earlier than usual.

EDIT: yes, i am a bears fan. i kinda hope fields doesn't play at all this season. or at least until they get the o-line sorted out a bit. if possible.

a part of me wants KK to fail miserably in Carolina (I know, I'm a terrible person lol). seeing him develop into the player the habs were expecting but with another team would definitely suck balls.

and according to 90% of posters here Dvorak is not very good, so there isn't any real consolation in the end.

- Pat1993

Much to a certain poster on here's chagrin, KK will see a lot of Charlotte.

Dvorak's career high in points is 4 more than Kotkaniemi scored as a rookie. Do with that what you will
- Takemedrunkimhome

yeah his stats are kinda meh, I agree, I'm hoping he might be able to up his game a bit in MTL with better wingers but I guess I shouldn't expect that much of an improvement either, the "change of scenery" factor has its limits.

a prima donna how exactly?

and are you ok? you sound agitated AF lol

Cause he thinks he is better than he really is...... and immature as hell, how he let that 20 dollar signing bonus be anywhere near that contract tells me all I need to know-- see ya

and Karine has an absolute hard on for management---- they can do no right--blah blah blah

Gonna be honest, I have no issue with the KK pick, or even the Galchenyuk pick.

This team just has no real strategy or patience for developing what could be top-end players, and really, that is the shame of it all.

i think the strategy is this case was not to overpay for very young and still developing player.

the Canes are the ones that were immature by adding that 20$ bonus in the first place, KK only did what any sensible person would do, which is take the money. it would've been foolish not to. and I don't know where this "he thinks he's better than he really is" comes from, you're saying this as if it's KK that had suggested the 6M.

I did not mean right now.

I meant from the time those #3 picks were drafted and put in the NHL... they have become wasted picks because the Habs have no clear strategy or plan to develop those players, get them ready for the NHL with coaching and proper training, and mental maturity... just throw them in the NHL when they are clearly not ready and see if they sink.

Most likely, kids of that age will sink.

Perhaps it was a "(frank) You" back after a perceived "(frank) You" from the Habs organization (benching, likely contract offer, other things - he was not coming back, at least, not long-term)...

Not defending the $20 or the "(frank) you", but I get it.

I am happy for the kid - set for life. Just needs to go out and have fun playing hockey in a market that is probably better for him overall.

All "Mint".

MTL media market is likely not that fun for most young players, especially if they have struggled from time to time.
