you shouldn't lie to yourself when you're hurting.

I liked KK, but not at 6M. Good luck to him.

Habs still have a first round pick in 2022 and they got a 25 years old C who should help right away.

They have some good wingers so I think they could have a good season. Petry was already better than Weber in my opinion.

If they're going for it, Bergevin better trade for a good right handed mobile D. They have good offense, but their D still needs to be solidified.

He will be better than KK in the short run......but, KK will pass him up in 2 years.

For the price…. Dvorak is a decent deal. MB was not in the best position to deal. ….. now for Dvorak….. less money than Danault/ kK …… he looks like a solid 3rd. Line Center but may surprise. Good skater, want to see him with talented wingers… I’m OK if MB let’s this ride until the beginning of the season…. No need to make any moves up-front, if anything comes up in défense I believe we have the assets for a trade.

people keep saying that, but two things on that : no cap space + I expect Romanov to have more pp time and a bigger role

Savard will play in the top 4

Chariot is a UFA next summer, so who knows

I actually think Dvorak is to replace Danault and Poehling or Drouin will replace KK

I think the Yotes will draft late in the first with CAR' pick.

That would mean the Habs miss the playoffs and finish with a top 10 lotto pick...in which case this trade probably looks worse

I put Toffoli with Evans and Gallagher cause I'm not sure you can put Hoffman or Drouin on a checking line

I think Lehkonen, Perrault and others will be in and out of the line up

a lot can change till the season starts, then injuries can happen, it's a long season. but if I had to bet today, I'd bet Habs will draft top10 yes.
back to their division, more diffiuclt than the canadian one. weak at center, no Weber, no sign that playoffs Price will show up before April...
I hope I am wrong.

I agree with you on that one. if you want to duplicate the Tatar-Danault-Gallagher line, the only option is to put Toffoli-Evans-Gallagher together. Drouin and Hoffman are not good enough defensively to be on that line.

KK gone is a good move, as he simply is not ready to produce at the NHL level. Someday perhaps.....

Welcome Dvorak......solid centre, great contract.

Now go trade for Hertle as well.....and suddenly the Habs look strong down the middle.

I don't subscribe to the idea a 3rd line is a "checking" line anymore but I get your point

In the event that either or both the Canadiens and Carolina's picks are in the top-10, Montreal will instead transfer the worse of the two picks and their own 2024 second-round pick.

I heard give KK 2-3 years. You will see…
Well 3 years later, he is still a project at best.
I doubt he will ever be more than a 2nd centre that cant play defensively and cant win faceoffs

- The_Price_is_right

Then why the hell did you guys draft him 3rd OA...

If you're right (and if I had to put money down today I'd agree with you) this trade for Dvorak is just ugly
