Sounding more and more that Dvorak will land here. If the return is only a late 1st and a conditional 2nd in 2024, this could be a serious win

Are they also shopping Poehling and Mailloux?

I'd say Carolina's pick will be a mid one, but sounds like a fair enough deal. A little under 40 points (his projections are higher for 82 games) playing on that dumpster fire sounds like a decent 2nd line center to me. Of course it still has to be clarified what the KK decision is. Also has a good contract.

If KK is gone the centres will likely be as follows
Suzuki - 1C
Dvorak - 2C
Drouin - 3C
Evans - 4C

Dvorak is decent. Only 25, 4years left. Played without any decent wingers in Arizona. He’s averaging 52-53% on FO. He’s also a tank
I’d be pretty happy if the trade is this.

Also, Habs are supposly on another folder with a East team. 2 trades? 1? I don’t know

I'd go Poehling and Evans in the 3rd and 4th depending on who earns it, but Dvorak is an undisputable upgrade to KK, right now at least. I can easily see Dvorak hitting 50 points given the strength on the wings.

Could be Bozak as well. I’ve seen his name since yesterday lol. So Dvorak and Bozak maybe?

Yeah I added in after contract is good and from what I see looks like a very decent 2nd line center. Seems like a good trade for both sides.

With no supporting cast; yes. I take him over KK any day of th week. And it isn’t a knock on KK.

oh same here, but kk is not a 2nd line center either.
if Dvorak becomes a Habs, Mtl have improved their 3rd line. still a hole on the 2nd. imho

That honestly strengthens the argument that he's good. He's looked decent despite playing on a dumpster fire.

no no no.
remember Phaneuf when he was in Toronto? he didn't suck because he was a Leafs. Leafs sucked because they had him as #1D.
same thing with Dvorak.

The Leafs had Tyler Bozak as their number one center and no forward worth a damn besides Kessel. Phaneuf was a number 4 playing as a number 1. I don't see this as a remotely convincing argument Dvorak is miscast as a #2 center.

it's exactly the same thing. if you have a bad team, Dvorak will be your 2nd line center. if you have a good team, he'll be your 3rd.

or someonelse. rumour has it Habs are working on something. we'll see.
but you don't have a winning team with Suzuki Dvorak as your 1-2 punch. sorry.

Neither with Suzuki - KK. But we wee down a C to start a week ago. KK was a 3+ while Dvorak feels like a 2- but meh they still need a C.
Some commenter online suggested Caps wanted Kuznetskov gone but who knows

He's putting up around 40 points (on a garbage team), has a decent f/o% and from what I read is responsible defensively. He would only be slotting down to a 3rd line role if a team was stacked with centers like Toronto (and we know what the price of that is, a poop team besides the best 4-5 players). Suzuki-Dvorak-Evans-Perreault or Poehling is decent enough imo to try for the playoffs IF we got a dman upgrade.

voilà. to me Dvorak is an improvement over kk, but still not a #2C. not on a winning team.

I'm curious, do you think Danault is significantly better than Dvorak?

maybe the wingers were bad because they had a miscast center in AZ?
