The Blackhawks roster on their website has been updated in an expanded format so this could be as close as possible to what the training camp roster could be.
Can you imagine if the Hawks are in playoff contention at the Olympic break, they send both their goalies to China, and they both get hurt? - boilermaker100
Boy that would suck
Has Montreal made a decision about Kotkaniemi?
I wish the Blackhawks were in a position to do that to the Sharks back in the day.

Kotkaneimi decision due later today. I say Bergevin doesn't match. Rumor posted yesterday that Montreal may have a deal in place with ARI for Dvorak.
Also read on another site that Montreal would be wise to extend Suziki ASAP to prevent him from being offer sheeted next summer.
I also wonder if Carolina'a strategy will be used more often down the road especially if they have a handshake deal to extend KK to a longer term lesser AAV contract. This strategy would be to submit an offer sheet for a one year deal at an unusually high value to a cap strapped team's RFA, then re-sign the guy the next year at a lower value to average out the $$$.

I guess we'll see if that happens, if Habs match then in doesn't matter.
If the data is correct that a late 1st round pick gives you the same chances percentage wise to draft NHL talent as a 3rd round pick, then all these teams are fools for not going after young talent that is already NHL proven players, if your team isn't going to draft in the top 10

Haven't seen that data, but I wasn't concerned about the Hawks trading away their 1st round picks. If they continued with their mid to long term rebuild plan and with them being a projected bubble team drafting 12-20 for the next few years, no guarantee the future 1st rounders would turn into NHL studs. The NHL is not the NFL where any 1st rounder is a lock to make their team immediately and contribute some.
This looks like a big career move for Sharp.
I wondered if his family is making the move to new schools in Vermont but just read they sold their house on 3804 N Janssen Ave near Music box on southport/ Wrigley Field.
So I guess this is a move is to coach the hawks someday...

I’m not sure how much of a career move this is - or how much of his time it will take.
He’s serving as an advisor to the Vermont coaching staff, not as a coach in the coaching staff:
Who? The Bruins? A lot of people feel that way. Way to be brave enough to go around to other boards to advertise it. It takes a lot of guts to admit your team is a dumpster fire.
The better of the Montreal/Carolina 2022 1st and the 2024 2nd. ARI now with 3 1st and 5 2nds in next year's draft.
Edit.. the 1st round pick is top 10 protected. If either the Montreal/Carolina pick is top 10, ARI receives the other 1st. - boilermaker100
I don’t like the deal from Montreal’s perspective. They downgrade 1st round picks, downgrade their 2nd to a 3rd and downgrade Kotkaniemi to Dvorak (who was selected with Chicago’s 2nd round pick).
And there’s the deal, Montreal acquires Dvorak for a 1st and 2nd. - DarthKane
Very interesting and might be match up Carolina wins each night. With its Colliton type defensive structure- but better skilled, often more experienced veterans - is deep. Loaded. Look at the size speed down the middle and on wing. What position does TT, Staahl, Kokineimi play? So they kept Gardiner and, instead, let Bean go. Hamilton was good and bad on defense. Depends the five man group he plays In to minimize his defensive woes. Pick up a veteran on blueline. New wrinkle Carolina, Washington. Did defense take too much of a loss. Does either team advance farther. I pick them tentatively to beat the Penguins. Let us see opening night or game five roster to get a better look. But Carolina looks tough. Washington can light it up with Mantha replacing the Czech guy (now on Detroit). All around the league new looks.
Whom is center/linemattes for Toffoli and Caufield
