K-duche is a BC resident. Not all Flames fans live in Alberta, just like not all Canuck fans aren’t not morons.

What was the site before Capfriendly? Same thing happened. He got hired by a pro team and stopped updating the site.

He died of cancer.

CapGeek was disbanded on January 3, 2015, due to the owner's terminal illness and his unwillingness to turn the site over to another operator.[3] Despite being un–accessible for the prior few months, CapGeek still received an estimated 10,360 hits in May, 2015.[4]

Yeah, that was strange. He could have sold it for a tidy profit to help his family after his passing. He just dissolved it. Very strange.

I think it had something to do with him feeling the new people could not keep the quality of the site he built.

Or maybe he was a d1nk? Not sure

NHL Pipeline Rankings: As Sabres top the Senators and Canes, the best cores of prospects and under-23 players

Corey Pronman Sep 2, 2021

Welcome to The Athletic’s 2021-22 edition of the NHL Pipeline Rankings where we look at the future of the NHL, team by team.

Every team will have a full ranking of the best young players in its organization with a projection of what is expected of each. Then those core groups are ranked from 1 to 32, so show how each compares to the rest of the league.

Player eligibility is determined by age. A player is eligible if they are 22 years of age or younger as of Sept. 15, 2021. This encompasses almost every prospect selected between the 2017 and 2021 NHL drafts. This is used to include a team’s top prospects, without aggressively graduating players who have a lot of prime development years ahead of them, even if they are already in the NHL.

Full individual evaluations of all players with tool grades and tiers that can be applied across all teams are found within each team’s ranking of its own players.

The rollout will be quicker than in past years due to the abbreviated offseason, with all the files being posted this week.

And now for the rankings:

1. Buffalo Sabres

2. Ottawa Senators

3. Carolina Hurricanes

4. New York Rangers

5. Los Angeles Kings

6. New Jersey Devils

7. Vancouver Canucks

8. Colorado Avalanche

9. Detroit Red Wings

10. Anaheim Ducks

11. Montreal Canadiens

12. Dallas Stars

13. Columbus Blue Jackets

14. Arizona Coyotes

15. Minnesota Wild

16. Nashville Predators

17. Philadelphia Flyers

18. Florida Panthers

19. Vegas Golden Knights

20. Winnipeg Jets

21. Toronto Maple Leafs

22. San Jose Sharks

23. Chicago Blackhawks

24. St. Louis Blues

25. Edmonton Oilers

26. Calgary Flames

27. New York Islanders

28. Washington Capitals

29. Boston Bruins

30. Tampa Bay Lightning

31. Pittsburgh Penguins

32. Seattle Kraken

---------------------------------------------------

Vancouver has a very top-heavy ranking, led by two true star-level NHL players in Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes. The high ranking is mostly due to them given the system isn’t overly deep, but there have been some solid picks outside the first round, like Nils Hoglander and Mikey DiPietro, which stretches the system out a bit.

Key graduates: Olli Juolevi

Key additions: Danila Klimovich

2020 Ranking: No. 3

2021 NHL Draft grade: D

Weird, thought I remembered that he was leaving for a job. Maybe it was that he was also doing something NHL specific (Detroit) at the time.

In a lot of prospect ranking systems without graduated players, most have the Canucks very low in the rankings.

It's all about the long game with Jim.

Hey Carol, Canucks looking for a new DJ. You could do double duty!

Vouch

Apparently the current one is leaving due to "creative differences"

I saw on twitter people saying maybe you shouldn't play "Dude looks like a lady" on Pride night, or "Where is my mind" on Mental Health Awareness night

The Vancouver Canucks need help, and fast.

They have Thatcher Demko, Olli Juolevi, and Brock Boeser coming, but their AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, are 2,295 miles away from Vancouver. That's a problem.

Some guy who wrote for thescore in 2016 figured it out but it sure took Jim a long time.

I thought the comment was funny. Nothing to get upset over but playing those songs is in poor taste imo
