Farabee 6x5….

Seems like it could be a great deal or a terrible one.

They pre-empted two potential UFA years and he's only 21. I suspect it will be a bargain in the long run. That said, the Flyers are going to have a whole lot of cap juggling to do for 2022-23 if the cap remains flat.

I like the Farabee deal. Might be a slight overpay in year one but by year 2 I think we’ll be looking at a 30 goal/60 point player who plays a strong 200 ft game. Five million for that type of player is cheap.

Yep, Farabee is going to be a stud. 35/35 guy possibly.

agree and I like you have two young wingers locked up like Farabee and a TK. Farabee said he really focused on getting stronger this off-season. Lets hope that pays dividends. I know a lot of players add strength but with Farabee's skill set, compete level and hockey IQ I am excited to see how more strength helps.

if we can dream and Frost just gets close to his ceiling then you really have a quality, young group, Farabee, TK, Frost and Coots in his prime.

Farabee and Frost were 2 different drafts. Farabee was 2018.

Absolutely, really need to see a good year out of TK, he wasn’t engaged at all last year

Actually it was Farabee and O'Brien.

Frost was drafted same year as Patrick.

Good, honest fair deal for Bee. Kid has a ton of potential and we see it often. Might as well lock him up.

I think TK plays with a big chip on his shoulder this season.

I just looked at the roster, the Flyers have good parts, they have what we mentioned above, they have the Laughtons and Lindbloms but they need a surprise, like a Point from Tampa, a 3rd round pick who surprises.

This year, if most play to their potential, they could catch lighting in a bottle but they need something similar to what G was in his prime to marry with the group they have now, that would set up the next 3-5 years.

I think Fletcher has done a great job remaking this team, the upcoming season should be exciting and I’m looking forward to it. The cap situation after that is concerning but decisions will be made based off of this year so it’s tough to look much into that now .

I was curious about "Crime and Penalties" after reading Bill's blog yesterday. The trailer I saw infuriated me. Pro hockey below the AHL level is a joke.

I watched it last night. I rarely lol while watching tv, but it did have some funny moments. Being only 70 miles from Danbury i was surprised that i or my hockey crew never heard of them.

go look at everyone drafted after Farabee and marvel at what an A+ draft choice it was

personally I'd rather have Farabee than the 6 guys drafted before him too (and 3 others in the top 10)

we are very fortunate he was willing to take a deal like this, his ceiling through his mid 20s really looks like it's higher than that of a $5M player

He’s one that developed quickly. I think he’s playing close to what he will be which is a defensively responsible 60 point player. Well worth 5 per
