I get the idea of wanting to see someone make and not make the team, but lets see a few practices or at least Bill's commentary of the players in camp before choosing if we think they should be on opening night. This is a great problem, the team has some youth potential and vets both fighting out for the positions. There's probably more opening night lineup questions going into this season than the last few, which is a good thing. Enjoy the depth.......Its been awhile.

I think the opening season roster barring any injuries in camp is pretty much set.

froms sens blog:

Ottawa has kicked the tires again on Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux who has one year remaining on his contract. Many close to Giroux have said he would waive his NMC for the Sens, plus he has a home in the area too! But at the same time, many say he wants to play for a Cup contender. He will be 34 years old when the 2021-22 season ends but he certainly would give Ottawa depth up the middle, something Ottawa has failed to address this entire off-season.

It's funny that several guys on here disputed the fact that I think it's a very real possibility that Giroux isn't with the Flyers next year. They just assumed that he'll reup with the Flyers after the season. Hell, I think if the Flyers are out of playoff contention(hope that's not the case) at the trade deadline he could be a goner as soon as then. I'm not a Giroux hater, but I feel no real emotional tie to him cause this team has basically been bland and boring since he has been the captain. Not saying it's his fault, but the only excitement I can remember during his tenure as captain was that 2012 playoff series against the Pens. Other than that, bland and boring about sums it up.

I found the "again" comment interesting. IMO he will be here; no guarantee but likely

Boston has no issues cutting ties with players.

Who is the source of that comment? Do you know? What's funny is that you somehow think that this supports your opinion that it's a very real possibility that Giroux doesn't re-sign with the Flyers

We shall see. No one's going to be proven right or wrong until he signs....or doesn't.

Until he signs it is a real possibility. Funny you think otherwise. What the GM and player say you take with a grain of salt. They say all the rights things for reason no?

What’s interesting too is that they’re taking about him as a centre. His best game now seems to be at wing while taking some draws.

What is funny is how someone's opinion gets you torqued up. That's all it is, nothing more nothing less.

We shall see. However that is not what your previous post said. You looked at an unsubstantiated report by a blogger and used it to try and support your opinion.

Your opinion that that you think someone's opinion get me torqued up is not only false but just your opinion. That's all it is, nothing more nothing less.
