With injuries and the tight schedule Im sure he will get his share of games.
- MBFlyerfan

He needs to play on an everyday basis. To count on him getting games in case of injury is not wise. Unless someone the top 6 is just flat out bad, he isn't gonna play imo. Maybe a game here or there to spell Braun. Then if that happens what can you really expect from Morin in those games? A guaranteed penalty or 2?

Watched a video of Wade Allison taking passes and shooting on net.

He has a hell of a shot.

I’d like to see him make the team out of camp.

This would be my ideal lineup opening night. Not sure what has to happen to NAK to make this happen.

I don’t like Allison on the fourth line.
Ideally he would be on the third line.

I get that and am not disagreeing with you.

The best thing for him would be to be sent to the Phantoms to play every game.

I just don't know where the team is on whether or not they think he will pass through waivers.

I would imagine he does, but you never know. Puts them in a minor bind imo.

I really liked what I saw last year. Keep it up and he’s gonna be an important part of team ginger.

I’m not sure what the exact plan is. It may be to have him as the 7 dman expecting he’ll get in lots. Don’t know.

Interesting article by O’Connor on Darryl Williams and his relationship with AV. It makes me think that the chain reaction of releasing Gordon and promoting Lappy was really just a way to hire an AC that AV approved of. IMO Fletcher has really tried to add the players and staff that AV wants and removed the ones that he didn’t. Time to show some results.

It’s a deep team, there essentially should be some good players on that fourth line.

They are both in a tough spot I agree. Also if he was waived and claimed, chances are he may get waived again and flyers have first dibs I think.

His hands are quick and the shot is lightning fast. They need to find a way to put his shot on the PP. I’d love to see Allison setting up in the deep slot.

I also like that he has a clear "shoot first" mentality. He was always throwing pucks at the net regardless of where he was in the zone. That quick release definitely helps.

His STFNP% was in the high 90's last year when he was up with the big club.

Gonna throw my .02 in… obviously pelle shouldn’t be in hhof based on nhl “stats” as career too short but could possibly be in for overall with amateur career included.

Definitely without a doubt should be in fhof and honored to the full extent.

Him and Foerster’s shots are absolute rips. Hope they both find the back of the net plenty for us

I don’t think it matters if Allison is on the fourth line. It’s along season. If he’s legit, he will work his way up. He’ll earn his way on to special teams. He’ll earn his ice time overall.

Bill, I want to (and I am) thanking you for adding context to the babblings made here.
Your possession and subsequent sharing of your immense knowledge of the Flyers' history and having witnessed so much of it allows a POV few hold. With your delivery being readily constructed and presented clearly and concisely, it plays directly to my interests and persona (what there is of it).
I suspect you are more than a little involved to pull this off consistently.
Thanks for your dedication, the over-riding passion, in presenting a holistic approach to our aligned enthusiasms with the reliability of a metronome.
It's a great package that I look forward to reading every day.

This! If the kid can play then he will play his way up the line up and build confidence the whole way. Let him earn it all

This kid can play and his shot is ridiculous already

I get the idea of wanting to see someone make and not make the team, but lets see a few practices or at least Bill's commentary of the players in camp before choosing if we think they should be on opening night. This is a great problem, the team has some youth potential and vets both fighting out for the positions. There's probably more opening night lineup questions going into this season than the last few, which is a good thing. Enjoy the depth.......Its been awhile.

I’m always afraid of a Robbie Schemp who had unbelievable talent when it came to this.

I need to see it regularly on an NHL level, but the kid has certainly shown promise.
