So if a game is on a Sunday night and you are tested negative on Friday and have the proof, what happens if you become infected Saturday or Sunday morning unbeknownst to you? - boilermaker100
Pestilence, followed quickly by doom. |

Likely. Enforcement is going to be interesting. I've spoken to 6 people who've gone to shows/concerts out here that require them, and none of them have even been asked for docs, let alone show proof.
Now this is all in Orange County which beats to its own drum a bit, but I'd be interested to see how it is truly being handled. - Chunk
NHL and NBA I'm sure will be very vocal about checking otherwise fines will be assessed to those teams

I think Stan would get one more year with Torts and the new coaching staff. Wait two years the genius in Seattle will be available. - rpeters01

We have 2 full years for Stan to determine what to pay/term Kane's worth. Things change fast, just look at what happened with the Cubs core this year. I am not stressing on Kane's next contract, nor am I stressing about next year's supposed cap hell. If Toronto, Vegas, Tampa seem to figure it out year after year (just as the Hawks did during the glory years), the Hawks will work it out IF there is a problem next year. I know this is the slow season, but I would concentrate on the Hawk's problems this year. If the Hawks are not in playoff contention this year, you might see a whole new front office/coaching staff, and Kane being sold off to the highest bidder, not worrying what his next contract will be. - LAHawk

So much for our constitutional rights. This COVID mandate might put all the sports franchises in a deep financial hurt. Personally, I am almost at the point where I am starting to not care about football, hockey, basketball and baseball because of all the political overtones. Thanks, ESPN FOR KILLING MY SORTS ENTHUSIASMS! |

And you are supposed to ignore preparing for the next 2 years because you have a decision to make in the third?

The Blackhawks do have some cap restraints coming. I was thinking since 21 million will be coming off the books after 2 years, why couldn't they sign say any RFA to a one year contract then have them sign one long term deal for example, Kubs signs a 1 year deal at 4 mill, then a 4 or 5 year deal for $6 mil per? I think the Leafs did something like that with Nylander but paid him more the 1 year then less over the so many years - BetweenTheDots
The Leafs paid Nylander like that because he held out for the 1st couple months of the season and that is the way the cap hit worked. It was just one deal. |

Going to see a hockey game while not having taken a Covid vaccine is not a constitutional right.
If they say you can’t own a gun legally without taking the vaccine then you can complain.
Has anyone heard of a drop dead date for the nhl to change the divisional format for this season? |

Blackhawks have hired the founder of CapFriendly, Dominik Zrim. Very good move that hopefully pays dividends for what's been discussed today on these boards. |

Big changes to the Blackhawks front office, including the hiring of the founder of CapFriendly.

Thanks, Tyler! Ben at the Sun-Times is doing a great job covering this.
He also clarified that Scotty Bowman is still an advisor to the team. |

In what capacity plus is because of the ongoing sexual misconduct investigation or completely separate from that? |

Not at all. Stan probably has a huge spreadsheet with who knows how many scenarios factoring in cap hits next year and the year after and the year after. |

Bowman can just ask the CapFriendly founder now that he's on payroll. Let him and Assistant GM Kyle Davidson crunch the cap numbers. Davidson is in charge of the math. |
