I’d add Kurashev and like you said, stay tuned. With some more seasoning, perhaps guys like Entwistle and Hardman become bottom 6 regulars at some point.
The article in the Athletic about prospects was somewhat of a recurring theme. The organization doesn’t seem to have a lot of high end talent up front but potentially guys who can play in the NHL.
Hopefully King and staff can get more of them to the parent team than Dent did, which was I believe really only Shaw, Saad, Danault and Schmaltz? - HawkintheD
Yes on Kurashev, altho only 39 games in Rockford. |

how about Connely and Strome for Drouin? he announced he is coming back. Strome is 3 AAV Connelly is 3.5 , Drouin is 5.5 @ years) so basically a push if connely is buried in the AHL. if Teows is healthy and strome is here we have 12 guys that will make the opening day because they would have to pass thru waivers. that does not inlcude carpenter or connely (who would not get claimed or dont care) also that would not include kurashev, reichel, hardman,
Drouin also is more of a natural wing. Strome is more of a natural center. |

Development may seem better, but there isn't much evidence of that on the parent team: the only players with Rockford experience who have had any success with the big team seems to be Hagel, with one year there, and (I think) Lankinen.
Some have had decent cups of coffee in Chicago, but have not stuck around.
We'll see what happens with some Rockford graduates this season. - StLBravesFan
You also have to take into account that several of the better prospects that they have had went straight to the big team and/or only had a brief stint in the AHL for a few different reasons:
ADB - never
Dach - just a rehab stint if memory serves
Jokiharju - 1/2 year if that
Boqvist - barely any time there
The rest of the guys in the AHL aren't necessarily good enough so they either stay in that league, or are moved. I would venture to guess that the Hawks system doesn't do much worse than anyone else's as far as overall quality of product coming out. |

Maybe we can trade Kane for Reeves, that should do it, and look at the cap savings as well. |

Yes. Before accusing someone of lazy writing, make sure to not lazy read. Maybe not Murphy’s law, but a good law nonetheless. |

Drouin is not being traded for garbage. Drouin has shown ability, just not enought in results. I realize some young guys need a wake up call learned the hard way. Drouin knows he can put up points but his overall game has to be good enough. His attitude has been questioned in the past, but I say he is especially hungry to prove his ware is as a point producing, exciting player. When does Drouin, A TOP CHOICE, become a player to be in the right position to "ripen." Actually the Kotkeiniemi situation ought to "play" to his favor no matter where these two enters skate next season
Meanwhile, Strome probably cannot stick as #2 center for anyone. Connelly is a veteran maybe not fading but earns too much coin and nowadays he is pedestrian average skater. In essence both.represent garbage for a player whom remains a top skill point producing able just a bit of an enigma to get results out of Drouin
As fir the salary cap money angle, I prefer to find a way to play (keep) Drouin |
