The #Sabres are finalizing deal with RFA Jokiharju. Believe it will be 3 years $2.5M cap hit when complete.

Mittelstadt had 22 points in 41 games last season.

Reminds me a bit of Pavel Zacha development. Pretty flat for the first few years but improving now as a 23-24 year old this past season. 35 points in 50 games. Was actually 11th in his draft year in scoring last season.

Ideally not what you want out of a top 10 pick but I wouldn't be calling Mittelstadt a bust just yet.

They are filming another movie or show on my street again this weekend. Not allowed to park on the street because of set vehicles for entire weekend.

Never stressed. I'm into smoothies now. Plus leaving for the long weekend anyways.

Little add to this

The OHL has handed Mailloux an indefinite suspension for violating the league’s “expectation of the appropriate conduct of an OHL player.” He can apply for reinstatement to the league on or after January 1, 2022 and a decision on his reinstatement will be based in part on his conduct since returning to Canada, the appropriate treatment, counseling, mentoring, and or education he receives from the date of today’s decision.

Good to see the league stepping in. Really dumb selection by MTL.

He'll probably go play overseas. If he matures, people will wish their team grabbed him in 3-4 years from now. The biggest risk is how he develops as a person, rather than a hockey player.

I can verify in advance I will never regret Benning not drafting him . I know we didn't have a first round pick but even if we did.

I've got a pretty cool Sub Pop compilation from '89 on vinyl called "Fuck Me I'm Rich" if you're into early grunge check it out. Some obscure good tunes on it. No Chains but a couple of Soundgarden songs you never hear.

I said people, not you specifically. Many fans have a short memory if players turn out well.

I agree with you fully on this one, but if the kid develops into a top pairing RHD and matures a lot, many will forget what he did. Lots of hockey players(sports in general) do sh!tty things to women when they are young. I knew this one kid who played for the Vancouver Giants when I was in high-school who used that to get all the girls to sleep with him. Many didn't want to, but did anyways because they thought that they would lose any popularity they had by not (frank)ing the guy playing for the Giants.

Hi,

New blog is up. Some thoughts on Conor Garland - and how Joel Farabee is a surprisingly close comparable...

It was a bad pick. They could have had him in the 5th round. It’s not even like he was a faller. It made no sense regardless of his poor conduct
