I'm generally not a huge fan of Oliver Stone. I really like Stanley Kubrick Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles a lot more, but I think Oliver Stone would be able to tell the 20 years story of how many people made sick amounts of money off of this. And it's a complex story because at the same time most of the contractors in country were technical experts in their field and did a good job on the ground themselves, yet at the same time they utterly ignored their duty to stand up the Afghan government regime. And not only contractors from America, but all of our NATO allies as well and all of the worthless NGOs and their employees. I can't tell you how many hours I wasted in Kabul in meetings with the UN office of drugs and crime. All of us making s*** tons of tax-free money achieving absolutely nothing in the long run. I played some hella good poker games in Green Village Kabul every night though.
