Hey Bread! Receiving any inside information at your school about masks for the upcoming year? Leaving out actual protection capability, I think kids will be hard pressed to go through another school year under those conditions. What about one of their current educators? Make a difference to you, one way or another? It would drive me to distraction being forced to wear one. Your thoughts?

Still laugh to myself thinking about Shemp Howard, after his girlfriend removed the bottom part of her mask. Minus the tooth.

What's up, Gabe? Hope you've been well.

Faculty & staff are required to wear masks. I'm sure students are too. My classes are online (even though schools & other professors are meeting in-person) & I asked my boss if I could continue working remotely. He said that was fine. My nephews & niece are still required to wear masks, but no more hybrid learning. Which is a great thing for the sake of education. Their teachers are masked too. Being vaccinated doesn't matter at my campus or their school.

Well, after the gov spoke today, all of IL is back to indoor masking; K-12 and state colleges and universities have mandated personnel vaccinations with college students also mandated vaccinations-- first dose by Sept. 5. My college already had mandated masks regardless of vaccine status, but now they're going to have to figure out how to
keep track of everyone's status. Even my union backs this. Just hope nobody's job is on the line. But, everyone who can't or won't get the vaccine will be mandated to take a test once a week.

Colour guy credentials through the roof, and liked him as a human being. Not that it matters that much, but what is his status currently? Did Florida give him the boot? You're right again on the second part. As a GM, he certainly had some flaws.

Yes sir Tallon has flaws as a GM. Great as a color commentator though.

How many really bad first round draft choices did he make? He had the final call, so I will not blame Mark Kelly for influencing Tallon on bad selections. Wiz could comment on this for sure. For all those who love Uncle Dale, I won't deny he made some good moves as GM. However building through the draft is how most if not all teams must concentrate upon

Tallon drafting: you cannot trust him. I mean too many brutal first round picks. That is just a fact!

Not sure about Sharp. Haven't been following the ins and outs of personalities for the various networks. Lots of movement, of course, with ESPN coming on board.

That reminds me, saw news yesterday that I think ESPN+ (?) is going to be carrying KHL games. That's really the only way I want to see Shalunov and Nalimov.

Now that we have (mostly) all moved on from Shalunov and Nalimov, Stan has drafted Kayumov and Safonov for us to wonder about every year. Kayumov has an expiring contract so I guess we can look for the rumo(u)rs starting next spring.

Tallon as a colour guy was great. But the Hawks need to get him back as GM cuz he did no wrong.

He laced 'em up and knew what it meant to take a hit from a 200+ lb man...of course he did no wrong!

New blog! Random thoughts on handedness in hockey, particularly how that influences wingers and defensemen playing on their off sides and whether that has an impact on lineup decisions for the Blackhawks.
