Vaccinations help prevent people getting very sick or dying if they contract Covid. Masks and social distancing help stopping the spread. But I’m seeing progress here. It wasn’t that long ago people denied Covid was real. Hopefully in time people realize, while not 100% effective the vaccine and other measures will help. When it does things will have a better chance to stop the mutations of the virus and hopefully get things back to normal including hockey for all of us.

My guess is not that much. The way they structured his deal, he makes $9M in the last year, and he will still be an RFA when it expires. If they want to keep him, I believe they have to - at minimum - qualify him at 10% over that last year. Unless they find a way to extend him to begin with, that is pretty much where he stands.

I'm might be wrong on some of the specifics here, but I believe I am correct on the overall point.

The Hawks (and the NHL as a whole) seem to be jumping into the NFT game. I understand most fo the tech around them, and how they are used, but I still don't understand the draw. It seems very similar to the collectibles market - I don't understand why a baseball with a signature on it is worth any more than one without it.

That said, if it can be nearly as lucrative it could be a solid revenue stream for the team/league. More money is always better than less as far as league operations are concerned.

I get the age thing, and I've said many times here I think GM's should keep contracts to 4 years max, but he's earned that contract. Since 17-18 he's been a great piece for them. He's also continued that performance into the playoffs (when they've qualified).
