Supposedly once Beauvilier's contract gets resolved, Lou already has handshake deals with Cizekas, Palmeiri, Zajac, and possibly Parise - LAHawk
Cap Friendly is showing the Islanders with a little less than $12 mil in cap space and they need to sign RFA's Beauvilier and Sorokin. I am not sure that will leave enough cap space to sign Cizekas, Palmeiri, Zajac, and possibly Parise. But Lou is pretty clever.

If you are looking for chemistry between line mates, I beleive Borgstrom might have played some with Brett Connelly in Florida. Hagel and Kubalik were paired lots last year and have some chemistry also |

The only way any of us will be truly safe ever again is to permanently ban people to be anywhere near other people. The world is just far too hazardous. It's not just The Vid; I hear the Flu has used the past year wisely, and is ready to strike hard. We can't risk spreading the Flu, people will die!

Once Boychuk goes on LTIR, they have $6 million more,

Thanks for the update on this. I heard about Palmieri and Parise supposedly having a handshake deal but not the others. |

I think it'll depend on what rules the org wants to set.
Green day didn't require any proof, now Maroon 5 is requiring people to show their vaccine card, venue is the same, Wrigley Field |

I always thought that both came into play where depth is concerned. The Hawks have quantity, and I’m sure you’ll find out if they have quality after their first shift. |

That's an interesting proposal to have Toews play 4C or even a step up to 3C. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Colliton to be thinking about something like this.
The flipside is Toews is a fierce competitor who may not want anything less than being deployed as one of the top players on the team.
Then again, he's also honest about how his chronic ailment has impacted his body so he could be more realistic about his role whether temporary or permanent. - Theo Fox
Would be a nasty 3C |

While he was not as prolific a scorer (even last year), I think Kurashev brings much more of what the Hawks are looking for at the center position than Strome did (or does). His face-offs were also brutal, but I think Kurashev is more of the complete package they are looking for.
With or without Toews, I don't see how or where Strome fits on this roster (and it's not even a great roster). If he can prove that he's improved his overall game, then fine, he may have some utility, but I think the Hawks already have better options available to them. - Chunk
Yes! I think I can live with his growing pains vs the pain I experience watching PaStromey trying to win a board battle.
Also, with all due respect. One of the greats has passed. To a life well lived...

I really like your PTO idea. You would think that the Hawks would be an attractive option as a PTO because there are so many forward spots up for grabs.
It should be interesting to see which free agents sign deals before camp opens and which ones go to camp on PTO's. There are some interesting UFA's still out there. Parise, Zajac, Bozak, Cizikas, Palmieri, Brassard, E. Staal, Donato, Kahun, Galchenyuk, Ennis, Sheahan, Marleau. - -Doh-
The Hawks really don't have any cap space to sign anyone off a PTO, tho. Palmieri and Cizikas are rumored to be going back to the Isle and aside from Bozak, the rest are no better than what garbage currently is on the roster. |

Debrincat - Toews- Kane
Hagel - Dach - Kubalik
Nylander- Borgstōm -(Kurashev/Connolly/Strome at the centre).
{the five man pick 3 line}
Khaira - Carpenter -Johnson
They can't "hand" Nylander or Borgstrōm anything...

I think I would switch Toews and Dach. Toews and Kubalik played well together 2 years ago, and Kubalik and Hagel played well together last year. Kubalik is a shooter, and Toews and Hagel can both dish the puck while also scoring some goals.
ADB and Dach played really well together on the PK towards the end of the year. ADB is a shooter, Dach is a playmaker, and Kane is both. One last point is that part of the problem Kane has is his linemates constantly trying to force him the puck. I don't think ADB or Dach would force the puck to him, which would allow him to find open space on the ice. |

Toews will skate with the 1A or 1B line and when his minutes require limiting another Center will be switched in with those Wings. He won't play 4C to limit his minutes.

So when Kurashev goes out there is JC just giving the other team a 5 on 3 til the next line change or goal is scored?
