either it was wrong or he was asked by the family to take it down?

See my second edit, the guy that claims to be confirming it looks to be an agent (not sure he is/was Jimmy's)

Some years back when the fighting issue was being discussed, some suggested the fights were not real, but phony like the WWE. I heard a quote from Rod Gilbert on that issue. He said, if the fights in our game were not real, I would've been in more of them.

I think back in the 70's when fights were constant and hockey was often compared to professional wrestling, it was sometimes speculated

didn't help that Dave Schultz pulled hair like a pu$$y all the time

The fights were fought by crisis actors. It was a false flag operation.

It’s not too outlandish of a take. Look at those pathetic “fights” the rangers and caps had at the end of last season following the Wilson fiasco.

You mean to tell me those were real fights and not just a show? That ish was pathetic

Former #NYR GM Jeff Gorton on
@camandstrickpod

: First time he and JD saw Tom Wilson/NHLDoPS release was when it was posted on social media. Shocked it blew up like that and thinks it had to be more than that incident as to why he and JD were fired.

Rangers name Gord Murphy, Mike Kelly and Jim Midgley assistant coaches on Gerard Gallant’s staff. Steve Smith joins Hartford with Kris Knoblauch. Murphy was an assistant with Hartford last season

more Gorton:

“No, I didn’t know it was going to turn into that, it surprised me,” Gorton answered. “Obviously, I lost my job – it probably has to be more than that. I don’t know but it has to be more than that – it can’t be just one thing.”

“You can’t tell me JD who loves toughness didn’t know we weren’t tough,” Gorton revealed. “All the meetings we had with David Quinn talking about getting tougher over time, we also needed some of these young guys who were playing for us to have to deal with adversity – see how they did with it too.”

“Obviously it didn’t go well, and Wilson should’ve been suspended,” he said. “I didn’t think that night was going to be what it turned into – that people were going to lose their jobs.”

Strickland asked who wrote the statement with Gorton explaining that it came from NY Rangers PR. He also noted that when it was released was the first time he saw it. “Yeah, I think that’s fair to say,” Gorton acknowledging his shock. “You might have seen it the first time I did.”

Gorton was also pressed if there was some other underlying story between Tom Wilson and the Rangers to which he said there was none. “Other than we play him all the time and he knew we didn’t have anyone to deal with him at the time,” he explained. “Wilson can be a bully so he took advantage, but I don’t know if there’s any other story beyond that.”

Gorton On DeAngelo: "[he's] passionate about ... the way the world should work, but ... when he crossed the line, I had to call him and say enough' Is it really worth it having fans tweet back at you? We're in the entertainment biz. People are paying for tickets here." — Jeff Gorton

I wouldn't hate it either, I don't know if it makes us any better though. Who does he move from the top 9 down to the bottom 3, and who from the bottom 3 that moves out of the line up makes us better?

The whole league wide center market is on standstill until Eichel gets moved. If he ever goes other center moves will follow.

Is Eichel really going to get moved at this point? It's almost September. What team is going to give up the assets to acquire him at this late date? Because that team will most likely have other holes to fill in after trading multiple pieces for him. Plus Adams said he expects Eichel in camp lol.

Honestly at this point it seems like there won't be a trade until late November/December at the earliest, after the season gets going and GMs have a chance to really evaluate their teams.
