It’s not the case with the Flyers. Not even close when looking at the majority of the players.
The team goes out of their way to make the transition to the NHL and progression as a player much harder than it needs to be. - FlyerFan3260
The Flyers have quite a few players on the team that transitioned to the NHL pretty quickly, so I don't think that's true. |

Hello Bill.
If no time or unwilling to answer I understand, so no hard feelings even though I can be hard on you guys at times.
What would you believe, or what is the sense around the club for expectations for the next season?
ECF? - FlyerFan3260
The expectation is to be a playoff team and much improved in terms of GAA. From there, it's wait-and-see mode. I don't think there's a delusion of being a top Cup contender unless a whole of things go right. |

Sanheim is ranked #36 amongst NHL dmen who've played 2000+ minutes over the past 3-seasons in P/60 at ES. That's top-pair scoring level. - Tomahawk

Yet to find a single hit that has Kalynuk ranked higher than Beaudin or Mitchell. And he certainly wasn't ranked above Boqvist before he was traded away.
In some lists he's not even the highest ranked Wyatt in their system lol.

Fair enough, thank you.
I understand I am perhaps getting into hypotheticals you may not want to speak of, but let’s say they don’t meet those goals after such player turnover.
Do you see the fate of the HC, and GM being tied similar to what happened with Hextall?
Or does Fletcher hold more favour.
Again, understand if this a topic you can’t speak of, but for those of us with perhaps a little less optimism it’s something I do wonder about as a longtime fan.

so your using older list that go back 6 months. got it. As I said he is arguably their top d prospect. You disagree. Excellent.

Sell sell sell. Move Sanheim for assets don’t lock up 4+ million in him. He is a bigger Ghost and we saw how that worked out. Slightly better defensively which is not saying much but significantly worse offensively.
A second pair defenseman who doesn’t see top match ups because provy gets them and still an embarrassing plus minus. Say what you want about Risto’s plus minus but everyone knows Buffalo hs been far more of a dumpster fire than the Flyers & Risto always got first line match ups. Here on the second pairing on a better team he will definitely excel |

It's very possible that the Sanhiem camp is asking for an unreasonable number but we don't know that. If he's asking for around 5M, that's not unreasonable. They can still reach an agreement before arbitration so there is still actually a chance. - MJL
Correct, the Flyers can clearly see what the “market” is for that type of player. Again, it’s pretty clear there was no chance it was a long term contract with what we know. We wouldn’t be going to arbitration. |

I’d counter the GAA argument with a thought that while important, I get a sense that it’s become a little too much of a focus.
Fletcher had mentioned transition play a little bit I believe but it’s the crux of the problem. Vigneault’s systems that dictate towards flying the zone and an over reliance on dumping the puck in have the Flyers forced into defending too often.
Defensemen rarely skate the puck out, which is strange for a group that should excel at such a task.
They willingly sought out to move one of their best transition forwards in Voracek, and for a forward group bereft of a true top NHL point producer, it seemed far too much focus this season was put on just the back end, while giving Hart as little, if not less support in Jones over Elliot.
It wasn’t just the defensemen at fault on the team. |

My hypotheticals have an underlying meaning.
It’s important for me to know the direction of management/coaching, or those in charge of hiring those positions when I feel it’s the biggest anchor on the team.

What is the wind velocity of Vorachek when he passes the red line?
Should jones keep his glove parallel or perpendicular?
