Even after getting caught fabricating and proven a liar by the person you are defending, you still cling to the lie.

People like you and their rage are why posts need to be deleted.

I have no problems with the COC providing it applies to everyone equally.

Ok, hockey topic.

Was just reading *trigger warning* Daniel Wagner’s bit on OEL.

Regardless if he is a legit top 4 D, or an upgrade on Edler, it’s clear that to be productive points wise he’s going to need PP time.

I hope Green recognizes that his 1:45 PP1 and 0:15 PP2 model isn’t ideal. I’d like to see the offense spread out and the TOI more evenly distributed.

Maybe something like:

Boeser on the left, Petey on the right, Hughes roving OEL at the point, someone who’s playing well net front.

Horvat, Miller, Höglander, Myers and ? On the second unit.

Things will change obviously as we see who is doing what well but just don’t load up one unit and have nothing on the other.

Not triggered but he isn’t worth reading

The more I seen people (Nighthawk ) penciling in Rathbone I thought don't be so sure. It is a good year to develop OJ , send Rathbone to AHL to develop more and have two good young Dmen . I think Briesbois should get a look at # 7/8
- VANTEL

I think Brisboise’s two way deal makes him an easy target for Abbotsford. I mean, yes, he’s an easy call up - though I think they are thinking Hunt/Schenn as the extra guys more so.

Juolevi’s agent has also put him in an advantageous position to stick with the Canucks, provided his game is good enough.

I like that they want battles for spots in camp, but sometimes you have to take the longer view. Send Rathbone to the AHL for a year. Woo another year there. Let the men play in Van, let the boys grow into men in Abby.

Read or don’t read, I really don’t care. I wouldn’t say I “enjoyed” it, but there was some interesting points made.

Hilarious and so true. I’m a PM for Fraser Health. One of my responsibilities is to review the work once complete (with architect and engineers). One of my first stops are the new electrical panels. I swear to god most electricians can’t spell to save their lives. We had to state in our specs that all labelling (panel and lamacoids) had to be typed out and proofed before installation. It was problematic
- bloatedmosquito

I was a sparky also & I hearya lol

They cannot spell let alone legible. In school they were with the crayons & going outside the lines.

Knowing what we do about Travis Green, do we really believe it will be Richardinson/Sutter as 3/4, or could you see Sutter starting the year with “3rd line” wingers because - trust?

Now that it seems that the roster has more depth sending boys to AHL to develop to men seems appropriate.

At then end of the day it doesn't really matter. You're getting set to retire and can use your skills around your house to increase it's value. Or, you can contract them out to someone else in the neighbourhood or elsewhere. Enjoy your freedom. I'm sure you've worked hard enough to deserve it.

I read but idk where that OEL hasn’t been the same since an injury. It said his turns & speed have not fully recovered. That said more time since the injury can only help if he can get back to where he was hopefully.

People have short memories. In his first season, QH played like a offensive Dman should defensively... in the neutral zone and offensive zone. D game looks good when the puck isnt in your own end. I expect more of that eventually. Sophomore seasons can be difficult and this team was up to it's neck in difficulty last season.

Nah man, I just feel so many are focused on worrying about life to enjoy it. You clearly have some skills that can help you out if necessary. The last suit you ever wear doesn't need pockets.

I'd laugh if hughes was lights out next season aND solid defensively, last year was a nightmare rght from the get go for the whole team, enter shaw to the fold it's not impossible he has the skills.
- Bettmanhatesus

I think offensively he’ll be fine & if can up his D to normal then the kid will be fine. Yes Shaw should impact & that being team D & x’s & o’s watching video etc. Idk how long it’ll take for results but fully expect to see D tighten up.

Last year considering all the bads & goods was an outlier. Throw it out & reset & integrate all the changes since then.

He might be, but he had some good points about OEL (both positive and negative).

On the plus side he notes that OEL was effective at carrying the puck up ice and either dropping OR passing to the wing to gain entry on the PP.

I agree, watching Hughes drop the puck EVERY time was painful.

- 1970vintage

If it’s the drop pass it should go to Hughes not from him. The drop forces the PK to all stand up at the blueline. Hughes can find entry or dish as he sees fit.

Summary: let the best skaters & puck handlers at speed do their thang not the lesser types.

I’m not so much penciling him I just believe he will end up in the line up full time sooner or later. I hope the other D prove me wrong & he shows well & forced to Abby. I don’t want him to both earn it & say OJ not taking the spot. High level competition is what we need. It’s time the D perform at a level that isn’t bottom of the league. Middle of the pack would be acceptable.

I said that last year watching him drop it to Pearson, who got stuffed at the line, or Virtanen who dumped it in…

OJ’s cheap show me 1yr deal makes him cap friendly not like last season where it hurt his availability through no fault of his own being beyond his control cap wise.

‘Trust’ got him a cheap 1yr vet contract for 4C & PK.

Well brother all I know is I trust myself & I can make it work out. If I cannot rely in myself I’m screwed. Not claiming to be any better than anyone else but over time & many rodeos it’s up to me & nobody else. Everything else falls into place if I’m in a good place. That’s the challenge & never ends.

FYI ppl I’m not full of myself but one has to be selfish to be better for all those near & dear to us.

Once we achieve that then others are the beneficiaries of what we become & what we have to offer.

It starts & ends there in my way of thinking. Humility & humble are ever important in doing so.

*taller. lol

I was shocked when I saw it reported that he was 6'4". With his thickness at 6/4 he'd be 240 lbs...

Now I'm upset.
