I'll propose this one.

Vegas-gets Jack Eichell & Filip Chytil
Buffalo gets a 1st from VGK, Zac Jones, Libor Hajak, Alexander Georgiev
Rangers get William Karlsson & Reilly Smith

- 15Hedberg

How about:
Vegas gets Chytil, Jones, Hajak
Rangers get Karlsson, Smith and future considerations
Buffalo gets Georgiev

I just dont see how Vegas has the resources to make a Eichel trade. They have cap issues. Not real deal young talent anymore. Buffalo isnt gonna want aged trash. Or an injury proned Tuch. Does Vegas need a Eichel? Yes 100%. But I just cant fathom how they could swing it.

This is why I think the best bet is the Flames. They have the cap space, young talent, and a desperate GM to save his job. I think Flames will land Eichel.

Z-nmc. And..ek doesn’t have a clue.not trading one of our top goal scorer

Do you know players can waive NMCs hey? Also I’m more than 100% sure Zbinejad would waive his NMC to eventually go to Vegas.

If VGK is shipping out an ELC and a pick where is the cap space for Zibanejad coming from?
- FoppaForever

I asked the same question, slept on it and came up with the easy solution.

NYR retain 50% ---> $2.675M

Buffalo retain 50% ---> $1.3375M

I'm not sure how an extension would work.

Everything involving the Eichel file says be careful.

Buffalo seems to be following a very similar pathway as Ottawa did in trading Erik Karlsson. The Sens slow walked an impossible dilemma into a grand slam outcome. Yet, for several months after the deal, talking heads insisted that San Jose had stolen Karlsson for little or nothing. Obviously, San Jose had won the trade, they reasoned because they got the best player. Now, people wonder if, perhaps, the Sharks never fully appreciated the Karlsson injury. I believe the surgery has severely impacted his mobility.

For all the fans wanting their teams to deal for Eichel, it is good to know that Eichel is not injured or in need of surgery.

Bigger news:

There is internal pressure mounting for me to go number 2.

NYR need 2 great centres.

Numbers don't work out for a 10mm AAV player heading to VGK. The club still needs to sign Patrick and it is already above the cap ceiling.

VGK signaled its direction anyway by signing Martinez and trading for Dadonov. You don't add 10mm+ AAV of contract with a 32 year old and 34 year old, respectively, just to become more nimble for the Eichel sweepstakes. This is the roster it is sticking with until the trade deadline.

I can see why VGK needs a center. The roster construction of this team makes no sense and GMKM knows it. Karlsson, Stephenson, Howden and Patrick down the middle isn't going to get it done in the playoffs.

Is Eichel really a Gallant type player, and why give up Zib isn’t he part of the current turnaround. As far as Vegas is concerned they can have Eichel, he won’t change things there. Stone and Patch aren’t exactly lambs that will follow Eichel.

Yeah, keep dreaming! Vegas would still need to pay a king's ransom to get Eichel, and I doubt Z is going anywhere.

If the Rangers move Zib I'll be shocked and laugh very hard.

Eichel is everyone's type of player.

Sabres need either Tuch or Krebs to be the key to a trade for Eichel. Many say Vegas won't part with Krebs. So it would need to center on Tuch. To make the money work Vegas sends Smith, Tuch, a RD (Whitecloud, Coghlan, or Korzcak) and either Dean or Morozov. That gives Sabres four pieces, Smith could be flipped for assets at the deadline.

Sabres better make that trade now because once Eichel NMC kicks in, there is no way he waives it to play for the Flames. Eichel wants to make the playoffs now after watching the likes of McKinnon and McDavid making it to the postseason consistently with their team.

Why? He isn't the level of either of these players.

Why Tuch 0.6ppg player in his almost prime and Krebs 17th overal who only 4 games played in NHL and made just 1 pt are going to be the keys?

I had heard one of the biggest hold-ups on a jack eichel trade is the Rangers are trying to re-sign zib. Once they know he's locked in for more than one more year then it would be comfortable to flip kakko and others for Jack. But if they run the risk of zibanejad walking into free agency they don't want to do it. I would have loved to see Vegas happen by now but I figured it'll be Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, Stephenson, draft picks right defenseman etc. Tuch salary wipes almost half of jack cap

Take it from a flames fan, we keep waiting for something blockbuster to happen and never does because Tre is terrified of getting ripped off for something. Probably why he still has a job he has only done questionable contracts never an alarming trade YET! Time will tell but I doubt the flames pick him up, there is no real scenario outside Monahan and a first and Johnny will just walk anyway unless he signs which signs point to never with Calgary. Sadly I believe they should just tank except they have Markstorm and will wear him out if they try to tank. They might have one kick at the can this season coming but I seriously doubt it.

That's terrible for Buffalo.
