Meant Rush, my first concert at what was once named Tweeter Center in Tinley.
- I Am The Breadman

Saw them once in Milwaukee. Good show later in their careers.

Saw a couple shows at Tweeter (then the World). Didn’t care for that venue. Only had lawn for the couple shows I did see, but I think that place was too big for it’s britches.

Thought Poplar and Alpine were better outdoor theaters. The local place up here, DTE, reminds me a bit of Poplar.

Saw Rush at the Aragon, way before your time. I had a motorcycle at the time, so it had to be 76-78…

The Ballroom was hit or miss on sound but if their sound was on that night would be a great show. Have seen a couple decent shows there.

Guessing that would have been around when 2112 or Farewell to Kings would have been out.

I like Tweeter, I think it's a good venue & has gotten better. Plus, I live close to it. Performers know how to use it & even in lawn I've been in arm's length of whoever was there that night.

In 15 at Tweeter, Rush brought out Carcillo with the cup.

Never been to Poplar & I know my parents were at Alpine for SRV's last show.

Angotti- I only got to go to Aragon once & I thought it was a decent venue. Prime time for seeing Rush.

I have to admit its looking really green today

Loved Poplar always saw Petty there.

Crazy, but very tragic. He was getting cleaned up & his life back in order.

Petty is another guy I wish I could've seen.

Interesting list. I know many don't like him, but imagine if Crosby hadn't been injured for almost two years. I think people would regard him even higher than they currently do. Just an absolute monster point producer for his career.

First time I saw Rush was at my high school. Then in 1976 at Massey Hall I saw two of the three shows Rush played recording All The World is a Stage. I saw them at Maple gardens too many times to count including their annual New Years Eve shows where they were backed up by every one from Max Webster to Triumph to Saga and Goddo. The last show I saw was the Clockwork Angels tour at the Air Canada Centre where they put on a three hour show with no opening act.

I just sold my motorcycle. What were you riding?

I agree, but that's part of it, isn't it? For Kane being a smaller player and his ability to not take big hits, year in and year out.

This was from the SARS Stock show where AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, Rush and others put on a benefit show for the beleaguered Doctors and Nurses who were run off their feet by the coronavirus SARS. Of course as PE told us SARS was a hoax, a conspiracy by someone who for a reason only PE knows. Seems all these rock bands were in on it. While the Stones were the headliner AC/DC apparently blew them off the stage. Largest attended rock concert in Canada with over 450,000 fans. It took my brother six hours to get home. A drive that normally would take him 45 minutes

I cannot think of a single concert that would be worth that 6 hour drive.

Took me 5 hours to get home from O’Hare once (usually 35-40 min), and I just about lost my mind.

I know. He was getting clean, Clapton being his sponsor. I know he was opening for him but i enjoy his music as much as Claptons. Like the concert I'm going to tonight, i like Weezer probably a little more than Green Day

My sister is going to that too. Weezer is cool, I saw them before. I like Fall Out Boy a lot (who should be at the tour) has close to 0 audience interaction & I personally don't like that. Have a nice, safe time.

I was considering going but figured getting in and out of the venue then fighting on surface roads to get to the nearest highway eight miles away wasn’t going to be pretty.

Hi Paul, I had a 650 Yamaha, and drove my mom crazy when I bought it. I found out later in life what parents go through, I got paid back and then some, but all is well that ends well.

Nothing close to that but went to Radiohead with my brother at an outdoor venue outside Tacoma, WA.

Was a nightmare getting out of that place made worse by the fact I had to pee in the worst way.

Kids can do that. I was far worse than my kids. They drank and puked and we picked them up. I drank and passed out on someone’s front lawn. They smoked some pot. I was into acid, mescaline, mushrooms and coke. I drove so drunk and stoned I couldn’t see the road. If they knew they were going to drink or smoke they’d leave the car at home. My kids were more responsible then their old man.

Not sure where this guy gets his info but he has linked the Strome brothers to Ottawa. He also touches on the NHLPA advising players to get vaccinated.

@NewEraSens

#REPORT - Garrioch breaks silence today some bombs

With this quote, Bruce believes there’s nothing between the #GoSensGo & #SJSharks for Tomas Hertl, R Strome can only happen if #NYR trades for Eichel, and reignited interest in D Strome from the #Blackhawks

My own commentary:

These are just rumors with no substantiated dot connecting yet but could the Hawks be interested in sending Strome to the Sens for Brannstrom as a way to replace what they lost in Boqvist to the Jackets?

Different handedness but Brannstrom (LH) and Boqvist (RH) have similar profiles. Brannstrom is a better skater and has great puck hunting skills and escapability in his end.

Of course, Brannstrom is small at 5'9" 170-180 depending what reports you read. His compete level when defending is high, though, and he's willing to take a hit to make a play.

Many reports say his defensive reads need refinement but he's improving.
