Fans understand the reason for the plan this season, each loss is that much closer to a chance at Wright.

Fans have learned that this is the approach of the organization and will cheer for that success, which is this season loses

2015 game vs. arizona was a pathetic display of looserism...that season got the team no where...

that said, i understand where they're at and where they intend to go

Sabres fans hate this team.

The real fans that remain ( myself, you and most of this board) are still buying hope.

I'm hoping they get a Crosby like player to replace Jacko

It got the team a top 10 if not top 5 Center in the sport.

It’s everything else the organization did from that point forward they failed miserably at

I'm curious to see the new orientation of the stadium and how it changes shadow analysis or wind. Currently stadium is in NW/SE direction, if they are attempting to stay within impervious area of parking area on opposite side of Abbott, would be more north/south. Could make it difficult for receivers when heading towards north end zone.

Also, crazy thought I have, but would it be possible to host regular outdoor Sabres games in there after Bills season is over? Sabres could play there a couple times/month on weekends. Maybe too much goes into it, but if you plan for it up front, could get it to become a routine. I just think it would be so cool.

The wind factors is a very interesting thought. The wind at The Ralph is notoriously bad for kickers, I wondering what they'll do in a new stadium.

I don't think hosting Sabres games there regularly is realistic or cost effective. It is pretty pricey to get ice ready for those outdoor games.

not a bad idea but a.) i don't believe the nhl would approve and b.) not sure the enthusiasm would be there on a regular basis

Until this team starts drafting elite talent past round 1, it’s the only way to obtain elite talent.

Every playoff team in our division this year outside of Boston will have built their teams starting with top 5 picks.

Barkov/Huberdeau/Ekblad , Stamkos/Hedman, Matthews/Marner.

Colorado is sitting pretty with Mackinnon/Makar/Landeskog.

It’s actually quite impressive how incompetent this organization is given the sheer amount of assets they had and how they bungled the rebuild. The Sabres should have been at the very least a perennial playoff team.

This idea seems far-fetched at first, but if you can imagine a first place Saber team I believe they would be able to put 40,000 people in that stadium once a week for as long as their season went on. If they were really good they would be able to sell that Stadium out more than once a season

that they did it is bad enough, how they did it makes it historically worse...only two teams--80's pit and sabres (actually four when you consider the competition from njd and ari, respectively) overtly tanked a season for a savior...and buffalo's was even more pathetic when you consider the unabashed backing from the media (particularly jeremy white) and the gross worship of the process from the fan base, especially those at that ari/buf game

It wore off when they started doing 6 outdoor games where there's no snow.

Or doing an outdoor game at Lake Tahoe only to play... not on the lake...and to have the ice melting by the second period.

I absolutely agree with this post.

More patient general manager
Good nhl tweeners ( Samuelson, bryson, quinn )
Young potential top centers in cozensons and mitts
A good coach that understands hockey and development
Potential breakthru in dahlin #1OA.

That's why we punt the eichel situation and return until next season.

I am feeling something similar. Maybe not punt, but more like take a few delay of game penalties until the Eichel situation clears up

Mentioned this a few months ago.

Of course the pegula's would want the Sabres to play in the new Bill's stadium. Easily 6-8 games, sell ot as a mini pack option. "IF" (TM Canadian fitz) were actually good, they could sell 40,000 easily.
Especially vs. The Bruins. Habs and leafs alone.

mixed bag

what little top end talent on this team is gone now and we are hoping the prospects develop

they could end up like the second rounders in 2013, 14 and 15

Lol

Late in the Titans' AFC Wild Card playoff matchup against the New England Patriots, Tennessee took nearly two minutes off the clock by committing multiple dead-ball penalties while in punt formation on fourth down.

This may have been Mike Vrabel's way of giving Bill Belichick a taste of his own medicine, considering Belichick had gleefully exploited the same clock loophole earlier in the season against the New York Jets.

Maybe we can work out something like this 🤝

They should play outdoors, but with a roof to protect from sun, and walls to keep the wind impact to a minimum, let me know your thoughts.

I thought they were in great shape last time.

Had young d that had more than a season of NHL time under their belt in Risto, mcabe, Myers, pysyk.

Just drafted eichel and already had Reinhart, and just signed RoR, oh they also had Armia in the cupboards. I also remember still thinking that girgenson could’ve been more of a factor than what he is.

This time I think we have a lot less. What’s your take?
