i liked sting before he turned into a mime but it's a pretty small swEEt spot. he's real shaky on promos for the longest time, then he hits his stride for a couple years, and then he goes silent.

he literally used to say "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY!" during interviews. it was pretty cringey.

i think i read it was scott hall's idea but sting had just started being able to do promos where he didn't look uncomfortable or have to stop and howl every few minutes while he thought of what to say.

he never actually was what i'd call good on the mic, but he got better. but i did see clips of his AEW stuff and he looked okay doing the promo now but is just a tiny 60something year old guy in a trench coat doing the promo.
