Silent killer. Leads to hormone, stress and even pretty bad heart issues. I too have it to a degree although it got better when I lost weight. Doing a sleep clinic this winter to try and figure it out. Don't want a cpap or any of those things

i'll probably finally give in and do the sleep study thing now too. you can do it at home now, you don't have to go sleep there anymore. my aunt just did one. i'll have to ask her what doing it at home entails.

Everybody I know in Ontario in medicine is going as private as they can. Less stress, less BS, less bureaucracy and significantly more money. Not only do I not blame people for doing it but I'd be curious why anybody wouldn't.

i'll probably finally give in and do the sleep study thing now too. you can do it at home now, you don't have to go sleep there anymore. my aunt just did one. i'll have to ask her what doing it at home entails.

Everybody I know in Ontario in medicine is going as private as they can. Less stress, less BS, less bureaucracy and significantly more money. Not only do I not blame people for doing it but I'd be curious why anybody wouldn't.

My sister told me she was thinking about quitting being a doctor because the mentality is to give medication ASAP so you can treat as many people as you can and she'd like to take more time with each patient and see if medication could be avoided. Told her she should go to a private clinic but she doesn't really know how that works, hope she does make the change.

I think north American medical schools teach something like 5 hours or less on medicating through nutrition which says a lot to me.

Big pharma makes big money keeping people reliant on more and more medications. In some cases this leads to more r and d money and better medications for necessary reasons but for the most part it leads to people being over medicated to line the pockets of shareholders. It's all kinda gross when you realize doctors are supposed to do no harm first and foremost
