Fox is tremendously skilled, best dman we’ve had since Leetch and he still has a long career ahead of him. With that said it’s not so much about the skill of the player but the grind of the playoffs not being made for smaller defenseman when the forecheck comes harder, the hits get bigger and the jersey pulling gets looser. In my opinion you can have 1 of those smaller dman and be fine, but not 2. It’s not even like Nils is 5’10 200 lbs and plays that type of game. He’s a 5’10 175 lbs finesse player. - nyrangers9479
He is only 21 years old! I am sure he will certainly put on some more muscle weight as he continues to fill out while he trains. |

If you believe the latest statement from Eichels camp, Cappucino was on board with the disc replacement and then all of the sudden was not. - ImThatGuy
"A further point of concern is that our camp was initially under the impression that the Sabres specialist was in agreement with the Artificial Disc Replacement surgery until that was no longer the case."

Bc he’s 5’10 and we’re not trading Fox. The stats speak for themselves, Fox is 5’11 Nils is 5’10, out of the last 21 Stanley Cup winners only 1 has had 2 defenseman under 6’. It’s not a recipe for success. |

so because YOU keep putting these stats out, that means you think the Rangers are actively trying to trade Lundkvist
right now
as we speak
trying to trade Lundkvist
despite signing fellow countryman Nemeth to room with him for 3 years |

but they're not
you know how everybody gets on Brukie's case whenever Panarin does something good?
you've put yourself into that territory when Lundkvist does well |

this 50% cap retention for Eichel is something completely made up in Larry Brooks head and has no merit
there isnt a chance in hell Buffalo is willing to give Jack Eichel 5 million a year the next 5 years to play for another team, it's already so bitter as it is
I think Buffalo's deadline organization wise to trade isn't until next July 1st when Eichel has a 7.5 million signing bonus and that same day it turns into a total NMC
they could very well just hang on to him the whole time unless they get what they consider the perfect deal
oh yeah, and hi

could be a big piece in a potential eichel deal considering fox, lafreniere and, presumably, kakko are off limits |

Tony D is only listed at 5’11, why didn’t you make this whole argument for him? You seemed fine to have him and Fox long term lol
That one inch for Nils is really the difference lol |

I think the stats regarding no Stanley Cup winner has had more than 1 defenseman under 6’ for as far back as I looked (2010) speaks for itself. - nyrangers9479
It doesn’t speak for itself. It’s a valid point but an incomplete one.
Do the research on full team size, not just defense. And then do it for playing style. What about Norris winners on cup winners? How many of them were under 6’
It’s a cherry-picked analysis to say just team defense height speaks for itself.

and, Lundkvist will be on the 3rd pairing, at least for awhile
what forwards do we think the 3rd pairing will be out there with?
guys like Goodrow, Reaves, Blais, Hunt maybe? along with playing with a giant like Nemeth |

Nah man cause he isn’t two inches taller the rangers should just give up on one of the top 3 defensive prospects in the game. Trade him he can’t help them win lol |

sabres fans would probably hate this trade proposal, but i'm thinking that as of right now, jack for nils, miller, an unprotected 2022 first and an unprotected 2023 1st might be the best deal they could get from the rangers |

Lundkvist's offensive opportunities are gonna come on the powerplay, at least initially
all the clips I have seen him from Europe have him playing left point on powerplay
which makes it possible him and Fox form a powerplay tandem back there
