He’s really not that appealing.
Word is with his injury, he isn’t going to play until maybe December, and then he’s a UFA after the season. Doesn’t have a whole lot of time to prove he’s worthy of an extension. - jimbro83
Ya I saw the injury thing, means we could get him cheaper. |

I want nothing to do with Eichel. Ever. |

Given what we gave up for Buch who was healthy, a RFA and averages more PPG and is a better 200 ft player, Domi should cost Gauthier and a 4th |

Hey all,
Been reading for a while new to posting. Does anyone think that the "ship" that is Jack is kinda a dead deal now? I see people talking about Dvorak, and may think this may be more beneficial, contract wise, and a potential breakout player. I think the value is there meaning, not a spine issue/ it being August... Anyone have thoughts on a potential deal for him? |

He’s a center that plays with an edge. I think he’d be a perfect fit for what we’re trying to build. - nyrangers9479
He has played Center but not well. He is a winger, that can play center when needed. And grossly overpaid to be a 4C. |

I don't know why Max Domi has his reputation as a guy who plays really hard
429 career games played
only 211 hits?
15 hits in 54 games last year
he's small and he can't score |

I'm with you, he kinda sucks. At least Chytil has upside potential, Domi isn't getting any better.

Domi is under 6 feet, we can't have 3 players under 6 feet. Would never work |

Agreed. Would not do a Domi for Chytil swap. |

OMG no
even if I liked Domi, trading Chytil for a guy who is a UFA after this season is insane

Its well known my feelings on Chytil, but I wouldnt swap him for Domi either. If Chytil could get his FO% to 48.5% like Domi, it would shut me up a bit. |

Chytil still hasn't even turned 22 years old
and if David Quinn was as poopty as everyone says, well then Gallant should be just what the doctor ordered for Chytil

and if it doesn't work out, there's no law saying Chytil can't be traded after season begins

I'm not even the biggest Chytil fan, if we replace him in your future plans (and to me getting another C even f you don't trade him at the time, sort of is doing that to some extent), it better be a clear upgrade. People have been clamoring for Dvorak, he's better than Filip at faceoffs, he's also 25 and offensively really hasn't been that much better. I dare to say Chytil has a better chance at breaking out.
I think Gallant will help him out somewhat. His numbers in terms of production will improve alot. The defense and faceoffs I do believe you will have to find a specialist for to coach.

Guy will only make 2.5 mill per for 2 years. He was lights out at beginning of season b4 he got hurt and got Covid. He is 22 and has potential to be 30+ goal scorer/75 pt. player. NYR needs centers...Why many here advocate trading him is lunacy
