Not really. IF Lou was bringing in Tarasenko, I'd want it be in addition to Wally, not in replacement of. I'd prefer to not sign Zajac or Parise. Bring in Tarasenko. Somehow move out Leo's & Hickey's contracts and sign Palms, Beau, Pelech, Sorokin & Zeeker. I don't know how we could do that because I don't think the monies work out, cap-wise.

I really hope we are wrong about Zajac.. At this point it's kind of absurd we don't have the news on the signings. I get that Lou likes to keep everything under wraps but at this point it's just stupid.

Even if you are worried about letting people know where u are Cap wise there is zero reason to keep ALL of your agreed contracts quiet... My guess is we have Palms, Parise, and Beau pretty much done and judging by Sorokin not filing for Arb and his interview they are fairly close to done. ... the only one I am worried about is Pelech and now adding Zajac.

Perhaps the fact that there is zero news on Murray and Tarasenko we can take that as a sign Lou's almost has them too? ... whole thing is dumb at this point

Why don't we wait until the whole plan/signings and or non signings come together before we judge how or why Lou is doing what he's doing.
It no secret that Lou doesn't let anything out and anyone negotiating is held to the same rule. I think after last year and also the success the teams had under Lou's rule the last 3 year's I think we should all have some confidence that maybe he knows what he's doing and how he goes about it isn't stupid, absurd or dumb. Just my opinion of course.

Time for lou to stop messing around and pay amrstrongs price for tarasenko. Wouldn't be an issue anymore. Would it.

Didn’t think you were just stating my opinion. With cap space being at a premium Zajac doesn’t make sense to me at any price really the more I think about it.

The only sensible scenario in which Zajac comes back, is if Cizikas does not.

Or, and this is just a thought, Armstrong quits holding Lou hostage and agrees to what Lou is offering. Wouldn't be an issue then, would it.

But then Zeeker hasn't signed anywhere and there hasn't been any talk of other teams courting him. None that I've heard of anyway.

Oh there’s been talk of other teams making offers. But the fact that he hasn’t officially signed anywhere suggests that he’s going nowhere.

The new rumor floating around is that cizikas signed a 6 year 2.5 per year contract…

I think Zeekers done. There is no reason he doesn't want to return and no reason Lou and Barry don't want him back. I think he's singed for a longer deal ( 5 or 6 years ) than MM and at a fair cap hit.
I think Pelech might be the contract holding things up. Just my opinion.

Edit: Just saw Cpt's post and I believe it. Did it with MM and was rumored to do it with Zeeker as well. Flexibility for the team until the Cap does go up.

Perhaps, and I'm just spit-balling here, Lou has everyone's deals done but just not on paper because he's still working on Tarasenko and once that's done and the money is sorted out, he can "officially" announce the signings.
I do find it strange that not only has there been no word of signings from the Isles camp, I haven't heard about any other team trying to sign Zeeker, Palms or Parise.

Doesn’t seem to be to much competition for tarasenko. I doubt the devils are legit trade partners I doubt tarasenko goes there so it seems to be us or bust for the Blues. That’s not a good scenario for Armstrong to be in.

100% IHM, If these guys don't have a deal in principle you would hear noise about other teams negotiating about them.

Really? I don’t find it strange at all it’s par for the course with lameriello. Him signing or not signing players is all most likely connected to whatever he has going on trade wise. If there’s no need to tell don’t that is Lameriello’s MO always has been.

I actually think it’s a “smart” contract for us. He would be a cap dump two years before the contract ends and at 2.5 million it shouldn’t be to difficult to get it done if need be. It also gives cizikas a nice pay day on top of it.
