Par for the course for Laraque: he pulls no punches.

He's spot on that MTL had this all planned out from the get-go. MTL brass knew exactly the poopstorm they were entering by drafting Mailloux and prepared in a very calculated way.

No doubt they had plenty of meetings to discuss the pick and how they would proceed in handling obvious blowback.

They desired the controversy and they wanted to prove they could push back. There were plenty of names on the board that were ranked higher than this player but they didn't care. They invited the blowback and wanted to send a message and a very loud (frank) you.
