Signed to protect the Queefs from Corey Perry and like Foligno before him (how did that go ?) he'll realize, "why am I here, to protect these prima donna wussies" Let Wayne Train do this.

I don’t want Evander Kane anywhere near this team.

Not Habs fans for sure. The price of gooning Matthews, Marner, JT and Nylander just went up.
- winsix

Not for nothing....but if I was a hockey player that needed protection, I'd be fu3king embarassed....whether I scored 100pts or not.

But I agree with your point and I'm happy as fu3k about it.

Maybe this is all true.. maybe shes greatly exaggerating, although I’m inclined to think there’s some truth to it. Either way, airing out your dirty laundry on social media like that isn’t the way to go about this sort of stuff. She was probably guilty as anyone involved living the lifestyle and now that he’s moved on she’s panicking. If E.Kane owes child support etc, I’m sure there’s lawyers out there to help her out.

The recent signings of grittier players is an admission of failure from Dubas’s “cAnT tEaCh sKiLl” ideology. The guy came in and tried to reinvent the game, focusing solely on analytics and ignoring that hockey requires more than that.

It’s nice to see him realize that, but at what cost? Zero prospects, no picks, overpaid players, guys walking… At least the train is back in the tracks.

Doug Wilson already has 7 missed calls from Bergevin.

Hopefully we sign this guy, teams need as much evil as possible.
- Garnie

FWIW, when I was saying we should get him, I had no idea he was this kinda guy....if true of course and at first glance seems to be.

I just thought he was an arrogant d1ck but not all that. Fu3k him!

I know you have no reservations about attacking our best pt producer, going as far as savagely attacking his family (like you attack a child with French fries at the beach), but the Marner hate is the worst thing about (some) Leafs fans. MTL’s game plan worked for shutting down Mitch because Dubas left him completely exposed, no one to protect him. Small skilled players can succeed in the playoffs if they have a line mate who’ll protect them.

Mitchy and Ritchie. This could work. But putting it all on Mitch, expecting him to be able to perform without help last year was ridiculous from the start. Nylander was fine because the Habs paid no attention to him, which also was a mistake because Willy made them pay.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

I also think Matthews standing up for himself and Mitch can help. Look at Crosby, Ovy and MacKinnon, all guys who are elite and stand up for themselves. I know Dubas probably told them not to fight back, but I hope they change that narrative this year and let them fight back.

I don't think that's what it's an admission of, it's an admission that they need players who can play playoff style. He still drafted guys with skill. He always said you can add toughness through other avenues, which he clearly just did with free agency and trades beforehand.

Thank (frank) the Leafs didn't pick up Kane on the cheap or at 50% retained or whatever.

Even if the NHL investigation concludes no wrong-doing. He is tainted. Every giveaway, every bad game will be scrutinized from now on.

Don't gamble kids.

I used to love to play in Spain and Monte Carlo.
Lost quite a bit of money, I'm sure - and not proud of it.
It was like getting high, only 10x better. Scary stuff

- 21peter

Yeah I remember feeling the buzz from minor wins at like proline and poop, or winning at poker with buddies...luckily I took some larger beats from betting on the Leafs, that cured me. Also know some gambling addicts who have gone down the hole with that poop, scared me away.

Not at all, I thought the Habs should look at signing Him. He's a waste of skin on that Team of have and have nots, in The Center of the Hockey Universe. Must have been that home cooking in Orangeville that attracted Him.

Or drink, cause that is for losers.
And why would the NHL be investigating a perfectly legal pat time?
Is he being accused of throwing games?

If he bet on games he was playing in that's bad news. That kind of thing might be hard to prove.
