Ritchie's junior stats were far superior to those of Anderson (not close) - Ritchie was over a point a game guy in junior and a point and a half guy as a 16 year old. Ritchie was taken 10th overall, Anderson was a fourth round pick. Ritchie is two years younger and a better fighter. You'll be changing your mind.

Ritchie isn't Anderson though, that's for sure. He'll score 20 goals in our Top 6 though, and stand in front of the net and make players think twice about cross-checking him.

He's exactly what this team needs and 2.5M is decent considering what the market seems to be paying guys this year.

Tyler Bertuzzi, oft hurt and has never eclipsed 50pts, just got 4.75Mx2.

Watched Ritchie play when he was with the Pete's, he's an absolute (frank)ing tank. He isnt a speed demon of any sort, just average. He doesn't go around you thou to get to where he wants to go, he goes thru you. He can punch the poop out of you and still pot a decent amount of goals. Love this signing, he brings a lot of the things Hyman did at half the cost and 4 years younger. Great job Dubas.
