Any Bruin fan that doesn't admit this is a good signing is full of crap. Ritchie did exactly what was asked of him last year. I watched every bruin game last year like most years and this guy is a better passer than people think. He goes to the front of the net and can get mean, he hits and gets involved although he has a long fuse he is a beast when motivated. I know the put down is he doesn't skate fast but the difference between last year and the first year on the B's was noticeable. I think he can play power play net presence and on one of the top two lines left wing. While your top four skate and create this guy can play the down low aspect they need. Just my opinion. - johnnypie

Ok bud.
He fit in great and played well his first 6 games.
Playoffs meh. - Fakepartofme
You and I have different opinions on fitting in and doing well.
For me: doing nothing doesn't equal playing well.
Foligno did nothing. He was a colossal failure.
And he's signed for 4mil. |

He wasn't 100% in the playoffs and he did have to step into a different role briefly in the playoffs. It's too bad it didn't work about better for the Leafs and Foligno.
But I'd rather have Ritchie on this team.
If Kase is reasonably healthy on this team, that's a bonus. Doubt Dubas would have signed him if things looked iffy. - mjones242
Well kase and Ritchie for the same as foligno.
So not bad.
Specially if kase can stay healthy |

I canât rag on Dubas rn..
He put a stop to the pussification of the team, and went junkyard dog style.. Ritchie, Gabriel and Simmonds will completely change the how teams view the Leafs. No more skating away from scrums, no more Hymans/Kapanens fighting (I know theyâre gone), no more post game interviews from opposing players saying the Leafs are easy to play against.
This could work. Goaltending and defence are still huge question marks, but it could work. |

Yup, they could try to sneak him through at the end of training camp. If he's claimed, meh... he's replaceable. - mjones242
I think the issue is going to be flexibility of moving people in and out of the lineup. I get the sense that there are some waiver constraints that they may need to look at. So, maybe not just Brooks at the start of the season. |

Itâs not like i havenât been saying Leafs need to get tougher for the last 3 years. I think theyâre better built for the playoffs now.
Just need to get rid of that floater for a top 4 physical Dman and a 1st and weâre golden. |

Since 1967 . I believe he can be a real plus. Some hear think I troll because Iâm a Bruin disciple. Not true I was down on Dubas when he was all about analytics and speed and skill. When intangibles and character were scoffed at. He has changed and is now looking for a balance . No problem giving him credit. Unbelievable but the leafs might be pushing the bruins around this year. |

Having tavares playing helps too.
Foligno did nothing but he was injured
Hyman had one goal
Thornton played
Theyâll have muzzin back
Should be a better team with the new additions.

You must be talking about Marner because I have been reliably informed that Nylander is so overpaid that he has negative value.
