Holy Mackinaw, with these two signings plan the parade.

Leafs could’ve won the cup the last 2 years but with lockdown they figured they would push it off a year so the fans could enjoy it.

It just makes the most sense.

You know, I'm convinced that he actually reads what we chat about here. Seems like we're an integral part of shaping this franchise. Now we need rewarded for it in terms of money or .... a PLAY=OFF SERIES WIN.

Yes, I also believe Santo is Kyle Dubas

It still comes down to the core playing to the potential. I’ve said from the playoffs to bring in guys that help play a different style. That and having a shutdown 3rd kind that will reduce Matthews/Marner minutes should (better) help.

If so, he would trade kerfoot and one of engvall or mikheyev, and then acquire Rakell.

Even if they don’t make a significant (Kerfoot) trade, they may need to move some pieces around given waiver/cap issues. For example, Brooks would need to clear waivers and is likely to be picked up.

I'd rather lose an Engvall or Mikheyev than Brooks to be honest.

Good b’y. Sunny for one, rain for three. I feel bad for people on vacation. For an old codger like me it doesn’t matter.

Last fall I bought a new Sienna and this year I turned it into a stealth camper. So now when the wife gets on my nerves I grab some supplies and my fishing rod and take off for a couple days. It’s great.

Brooks + Gabriel will be on the Marlies.

But yeah, trade coming fo' sho'!

- mjones242

Leafs could lose Brooks to the waiver wire as he is no longer exempt

I agree Brooks > Engvall.

Replace Engvall with anyone who can forecheck, hit, PK...actually do SOMETHING...and the team will be much better for it. He's fu3king 6'5" of useless.

Hate to lose Kerfoot's versatility because he can play up on the wings but if it frees up the $ to make the D tougher, go for it.

Start with Dermott and Engvall to get a RD for Sandin. If it doesn't work, lose Kerfoot too...meaning still lose Engvall at least. $4.75 in cap for getting better on D.

Use some of the energy guys from the Marlies to fill in the turtleneck left behind by Engvall.

Use some Marlie who can cross check and clear the net at least for 7th D.

Give Marner some steroids so he has anger issues and balls for the season and go for it again I guess.

That looks alright. Or trade Kerfoot and Dermott for a real solid third pairing D and throw Spezza on the first line. Bet he’d score at a Hyman clip.

Would be fine. Absolutely love the Ritchie signing, hopefully will still love it when the season is over. Leafs finally get a guy that wins most of his fights. And as a bonus a guy with decent skill.

i feel that anointing Richard Ritchie as Dubas' redeemer is totally cautiously optimistic and nothing could go wrong with it. I always thought going into this offseason, that Richard Ritchie was going to be the key to everything. I have ordered Richard Ritchie's jersey in home and away iterations.

Yup, they could try to sneak him through at the end of training camp. If he's claimed, meh... he's replaceable.

Now that sounds awesome. Just taking off to Point Michaud or Down North to Broad Cove or hang out in your stealth RV in Margaree. Hope to be doing the same in ten years.

For now I get to cut the grass and empty RV tanks. Oh and that Dubas purse isn’t going to repack itself ((frank) you trolls)

Later bud.
