Jacks a 1st line center that we have locked up for 5 years. There’s absolutely no rush to move him. We already know we are gonna be awful the next couple of years with or without him. I bet it will be a trade deadline addition.

If I’m GMKA I allow Jack to have the surgery. Then once healed from it I let him play himself out of this mess. He plays good, teams will line up to trade for him. He whines and looks to the sky every time he misses on an opportunity, then he has 5 more years of Hockey Hell. Eff that entitled mbumhole and The Peters for that matter!

Not sure how much that would help. GMs presumably know the cost already and it would open Adams up to receiving calls from Fish every 5 minutes to say "I have another super duper bucket of Berglunds for you to review"

I think the reason this hasn't gone there is because Eichel and his agent know they would lose.

I listened to an interview with the doctor who would perform the surgery,
and he was pretty convincing to me that the surgery Jack wants is the way to go

Reminiscent of the peca situation couple decades ago.

In 2 years, KA will either be a local hero running the Sabres or out of the league entirely. Actually he might still be running the Sabres poorly. Either way, he has set a line in the sand and he has no obligation to bend over to these sports lawyers and their public grumblings.

Going to be fun to watch.
